Repeat after me:
Labels are not rules
Labels are not promises
Labels are not fixed
Labels are not necassary
Labels were created to be helpful, if they are not, you can get rid of them and do what you want
happy pride month to bisexuals, asexuals, aromantics, trans people who "dont pass", queer POC, black trans women, neopronoun users, queer folks who arent out, two spirit people, micro label users, and femmes.
I always think back to when I realized I was cupioromantic and damn shit don’t feel fair? It just sucked to know I’m missing out on so much of life and I can’t control that
I love how identities can be as broadly or as narrowly defined as you want.
Am I technically some kind of grey aroace? Probably. Could I find suitable microlabels? Probably. Could be interesting to see others with my specific experiences.
But do the nuances personally matter to me? Nah. I don’t want to date, I don’t wanna have sex.
Briefly being flustered by a cashier or having a crush on Ed Sheeran for a grand total of four hours doesn’t really make a tangible difference to my life. At most it gives me a peak of who I'd like if I was allo.
I still respect people with a collection of microlabels and corresponding flags. It looks fun. I just don't have the energy or desire to thoroughly self-analyze the nuances of my rare attractions.
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH FAGS OF ALLS KINDS!!! :D
happy pride y’all!
