Microcomic Summer 2024: The Search for Cindermeowla
Happy Microcomic Summer day!
This year's comic is the Search for Cindermeowla, aka the tale of a prince who isn't very bright.
I had a completely different concept scripted, and then the image of Cindermeowla running down the stairs muscled its way into my brain and demanded context. Inspiration can be fickle that way!
First 4 pages of THE DANCING BONES for #MicroComicSummer 2024
I was secretly working on this comic all winter! It's 64 pages of lesbian horror nonsense. Keep your eyes peeled; the full comic is coming to an internet near you sometime soon.
It's #MicroComicSummer !
Featuring my OC Toni and bird friend. 🐦
For this year I implemented the lessons from last year and i think it worked well… until i started the colours without a plan XD so again, lots learned this year too!
I'm using @hiveworks' Micro Comic Summer event to expand my creative horizons with an autobiographical comic! This idea has been in my head for a long time, inspired by Lucy Knisley's work and the Secret Loves of Geeks/Geek Girls anthologies.
(Note: shortly after finishing this comic I discovered the term "aegoromantic", which means liking the idea of romance but not wanting it yourself. I'm so happy to know it's not just me who feels like this!)
For the curious, a list of the fictional characters included on each page is under the cut.
