Update: We ran a relation check between Orion and a relative of Silver (his aunt), they tested at 2.4% relation. On paper, their relation should be about 3.125%. Looks like we have our answer, Silver is the grandsire, although Silver still needs to be DNA tested so we can fully verify things!
