Alright! Mostly neutral headcanons can be read as both !Modern! And !Canon Era!
Henry is a good cook. He doesn't bake as much but he can prepare tasty meals. He also knows what's good and if it was possible he'd eat at all the best restaurants. He's also very serious about eating three meals a day if it's possible (<- that last part is specifically modern au since he'd probably not be able to do that in canon era)
English isn't his first language! He could come from Germany (this idea comes from newsiespedia by the way) His parents are both from there so they spoke german at home when they were still alive. That's why when Henry is angry he always swears in this language.
!Modern! He loves to fight ever since he took up maritial arts training. He's especially good with boxing and while some of the newsies are still stronger then him he isn't a bad fighter. He's also very enthusiastic when he gets to show off his skills.
!Canon Era! Henry was thought how to fight by an older newsie. Those trainings were one of his favourite parts of the day which is mostly why he's still so enthusiastic about pickling fights. He was a quick learner and tried to practise on his own when there was no one to help him.
He is good at fixing things. Whenever the newsies need something quickly repaired they go to him. It's mostly makeshift and only a temporary solution but it makes do. In modern era he'd help them with computers. He also loves to feel needed so he never refuses helping his friends.
