Hel laughed, loud and bright. To even have this moment where he felt safe enough to rest and laugh.. it was everything to her. “You would waste what precious time you have with me in sleep?” she feigned an incredulous tone.  

“I’d almost be offended...” She paused, unable to contain her grin, “..If I didn’t respect your priorities so very much.”

     It’s probably a gross oversimplification, but truthfully?   It’s not FAR OFF.   He looks RUEFUL and almost quietly and wearily AMUSED,   though his voice is rather cheery given the topic and circumstance —— and whom he’s speaking with.    ❛ And I fear he has a much greater head start than I. ❜

“Aww, well thank you sis.” They were certainly the part he liked least about this form, even if he without suddenly having to blink he just didn’t like how they looked. So it was nice to be assured they didn’t look as horrible as he thought they did.

“You’re welcome, bro.” Hel smiled broadly. It was lovely to see his smile, regardless of the form he chose to inhabit. She liked him a great deal more when he was happy. And she already like him very much indeed. Sometimes he was even her favourite.

She herself - death incarnate - had never seen the light leeched from someone’s eyes as quickly as it must’ve gone from her own. They had both been yelling with such fervor that even the grass around them had become rot. She had been furious; To yell at Jormungandr, she had to have been. But searching her feelings then, there was only a sickening sadness. 

“You’re not the first,” she uttered. All that fire had been extinguished from her voice. He was not the first. But he was almost assuredly the most painful. “..You will not be the last.”
