Having waited a gig-goer’s lifetime to see Gary Numan, I got to do so three times within 12 months – thanks to his ‘Savage’ resurgence. Always a spectacular set from the ever-evolving showman – but this intimate warm-up show for the forthcoming Bluedot Festival was by far the best.
Setlist: Pressure / Halo…

Looking back
At old messages... Instantly reliving that moment and feeling every bit of energy that went into your conversation! At how much passion, excitement, love, happiness, sarcasm, intensity, promise, hope, future sight, friendship, connection and banter you had. It can really put a smile on your face knowing what kind of things you built with someone you once considered a complete stranger! Sometimes memories are all you have to keep you going. Sometimes... you are lucky enough to be able to keep making more with that person! If they manage to give you any of those sensations I described above... Don’t take it for granted! A tiny spark... Could set your world a blaze :)
McKenna’s skin and clothes carried the scents of midnight air and summer meadows and smoke…and the far subtler aura of a healthy, aroused male.

Midnight Air || OPEN
The cool breeze of the midnight air was a relaxing touch to the night. The moon shone bright in the sky above, naturally lighting up her surroundings. Just an hour earlier, she had been in the local bar - throwing back beers with the rest of them. It was nothing new to her, the woman loved her alcohol.
He pulled her pack of cigarettes out of her pocket, lightly tapping the bottom. She flipped open the top and pulled only one out, instantly placing it in between her lips. As he put away the pack, she retrieved her lighter - using it to ignite the end of the wrapped tobacco.
Her steps were slightly staggered and her hair was a mess. It was only a short walk to her hotel room, but there was something she was looking for - something that’d add a perfect ending to the night.
Wake from a deep sleep
Breath in the midgnight air
If you can be what you dream
You'll be on the edge forever
Take all the bad years
Erase all the shadows
Breath in the midnight air
