The daylight brothers, Midnight and Starlight. Or otherwise known as Dusk and Dawn!
Long ago a seed was planted, said to be placed there by a goddess. And with it came a being called Eclipse. A being so strong that their magic was unstable and eventually instead of guarding the tree of feelings like they had been created for they were corrupted, after a thousand years Eclipse began to develop a god complex, treating emotions like toys he could control. Anyone who opposed him was driven to insanity and openly tormented.. until one day a hero came and killed him using a matching set of blades. Using crystals formed at the base of the tree that were supercharged with certain emotions. Eclipse was reabsorbed into the tree of feelings and remade into Starlight and Midnight
Starlight was like a beam of sunshine, overflowing with joy and an innocence untainted, Midnight however was shunned for guarding the negativity to the point where people became hostile at the mere sight of him. Star had eventually caught on to what was happening but refused to act, believing that kindness was always the best way to live, to the point where it became toxic. Starlight was raised with the mindset that all negativity was awful and that lead him to hating his own brother and ignoring him entirely. Midnight eventually grew tired of the torment and snapped, he had corrupted himself lost in his hatred for others. He destroyed his au and absorbed all the negativity from the au and destroyed what was left of the tree. With no emotions left but the hate he harbored his brother turned to stone for nearly 500 years until their au collapsed entirely and he fell in, landing in an au bursting with positivity and freeing him from his prison. He soon came to learn about the multiverse and set out to stop his brother, someday once Starlight finally defeats him he intends to tear his own soul in half and plant a new tree where the two of them can sprout together once more. Forever bound as one.
Another key difference is the apples, the negativity apples are made from large pure amounts of hatred and Midnight isn't killed/possessed when he absorbed them making it possible to turn passive.
Dusk's negativity works a lot like Blades/Killers hate but 100x worse. The apples of negativity are just really really concentrated and high amounts of negative emotions that take a form similar to how Blade will sometimes start leaking hate from his eye sockets

They all have to wear the crowns otherwise they'll radiate overwhelming emotions that will not just affect everyone around them but it'll have negative affects on them as well.

Dusk's eye shape changes with the phases of the moon in that particular au. If he's in a void his eyelight will turn into a new moon
Starlights eyes will have 5 little dots surrounding his star pupils when he gets particularly happy.
Starlight can also majorly drug people using his magic
