“A NEW PERSPECTIVE” (THE MIDNIGHTJESTER AU) || MIDNIGHTJESTER MONTH DAY 8: AU OF CHOICE
following the events of the TSAMS canon, in a universe where moon and carmine enter a queerplatonic relationship with the focus of self discovery and exploration. both struggle to navigate through new shared experiences while trying to keep their relationship a secret from family and friends. a challenge that proves to test the traditional limits of love and questions the narrative.
this au was created out of respect for the canon, all my carmoon work is labeled under “midnightjester au” unless changed.

MIDNIGHTJESTER MONTH II DAY#3 : STARGAZING
it's after a mission that carme and moon finally have some down time. they were sent to a demention to capture some rouge moon. something about wanting to take over all sun and moon dimensions anddddd-details aren't really important. anyways, moon noticed his brother had wondered off with one of the sun heaven concil members to discuss details going forward, leaving him and carme alone...outside...under the stars? looking up, moon hadn't even realized it was night time. the mission must've taken longer than they anticipated. the silence was comfortable, but it only lasted for so long before carme spoke up. "the stars..." his voice sounded ethereal "beautiful, aren't they?". carme's eyes are open, something moon rarely saw. he's entirely focused on the midnight sky and its shining stars. moon doesn't even glance at them, his entire focus is stuck on carme. has he always been this breathtaking? just what the hell is happening to him recently...he's never felt anything like this before, atleast not to this extent. moon cant look away, can't even think of why the jester has this affect on him.

Since you have your theory that Moon and Carme could be secretly dating, who do you think was the one to ask the other out, if that’s the phrase you’d like to use? And how do you imagine they did it?
MIDNIGHTJESTER MONTH || DAY #5: CONFESSION
"WE"LL TAKE IT ONE STEP AT A TIME..."
when it comes to "confessing" their feelings, i honestly like to imagine the discussion would be mutual and would be months after unresolved tension.
carme wanted to be the first to confront moon, but he never felt like the time was appropriate because of threatning matters like titan and the heavens. he can read moon like an open book and has no problem being confrontational with him, but something as sensitive as this even makes him nervous.
moon is the one to blurt it out in the middle of a therapy session when the anxiety was biting away at him. we know it's not like him to want to confront his feelings, but carme has always brought out a side of him that breaks the barrier. now, moon is sure of his sexuality, and that will never change, but whatever desire he has to be with carme, these feelings he has never felt in his years of being alive, bring curiosity. while carme, has always been sure of his feelings but never his orientation on love. never having the chance to explore this, even after escaping the circus. until he met moon.
they were both aware of this chemistry they have, but now that they're finally talking about it, there is just a different kind of spark. carme finds it near impossible to hide his joy.
in the end, they would both agree to figure it out together. no rush, no label, just a new kind of adventure.
i like to think they'd spend all night talking about it :)
