First fanfic!! Its probably very bad, but I tried.
Midorima Shintarou x reader.
Warnings: Nothing really, very normal. Crow jabbing at Midorima.
This guy was interesting. Midorima Shintarou. One of the most popular boys at school. He didn't bask in this attention though, he found it quite annoying. Most people only liked him after seeing his basketball skill or his face. Both of which were amazing, but that wasn't the case with you.
It all started during lunch break on Tuesday. You were sitting in the court yard trying to finish an essay last minute for the next class when you heard a high pitched sqwack. You tilted your head up to look at a crow soaring down with a rice ball in its beak. As you followed its path, you realised that the crow was soaring towards the star player of the school.
You watched silently, and a bit amused as the crow attempted to swiftly soar in a steal Midorima's rice ball as well. You weren't sure if the crow knew that another rice ball wouldn't fit in its mouth, but whatever. Nice entertainment. Just as the crow was about to swoop in and attempt to steal another rice ball, Midorima's head snapped up, barely registering the crow before using his fingers to lightly grab onto the rice ball in the crow's beak, something he probably did out of instinct, but it worked, and the crow was now left with no rice ball.
You watched as he the crow took a round around the entire courtyard before coming back and circling over Midorima's head, sqwacking in an ungodly high pitch. It tried jabbing at Midorima but he dogded each time.
"Get out you annoying bird. If you stop jabbing at me for a second maybe I can return the rice ball"
The crow continued to jab at him.
Midorima sighed before ducking and quickly breaking off small pieces of the rice ball and scattering them over the floor.
The crow continued to pester him before realising that Midorima was actually returning its food.
It swooped down and started pecking at the grains. It paused and looked up at Midorima, staring at him with its glossy black eyes, as if to say thank you, and went back to pecking at the rice.
Midorima sighed before muttering something to himself about 'Oha Asa', 'feed animal' and 'good luck'.
The entire episode amused you. You chuckled slightly. This definitely wasn't the Midorima the guys in your class described when ranting about him out of jealousy, sometimes admiration. Or the same Midorima the girls in your class wrote about in their fanfictions. No this Midorima was different. And maybe this was the Midorima you wanted to befriend.
