from my experience (american, former art student, working w professional designers) your portfolio is the most important thing; after that is networking and having good connections/references. college definitely helps with improving your work and meeting people, but i wouldn’t say it’s absolutely necessary. if you have a good portfolio then you could probably start with freelance work and break into big industry later on. hope that helped!

lol because they’re the few who still hang around me They’re really empathetic, and tries their best to make others happy even if they feel really shitty at times. They deal with a lot of issues and even when its too much, they still push through and persevere (you’re strong too). They’re multi-talented in so many things (plus great fashion sense). And they’re one of the few I feel comfortable with their presence.

My People Obviously. @agouti first and foremost, obviously. people who back me and support me and who I enjoy backing and supporting in return. you guys make everything worth it.

goldleaf. I don’t think I can say it’s my favourite colour because it’s not really a colour but if anything has goldleaf in it then it’s my favourite thing in the world. I love it and it’s beautiful and it makes me so happy. I could look at it for hours. goldleaf.

I’ve been talking about axolotls on twitter a lot. they’re great!!! I love their little smiles. :). I like the yellow ones. I wanna own one someday because they’re pretty low maintenance and for a starter pet they look really rewarding. axolotls.

winter. I mean I don’t like slushy gross winter and overall my fave season is spring because it’s a lot warmer. but...quiet still pale snowscapes and bitey air. beautiful. beautiful beautiful. christmas is coming and I’m thrilled. I love u chrismas.
