What's even more funny about Will calling Mike the "heart" of the Party is that they live in Indiana, a Midwestern state, and the Midwest is often associated with being the "heartland" aka the heart of America (full of small forgettable towns everywhere). Don't know if this was supposed to hammer in again that he's a real deal small town boy. That or Mike's self-love and romantic journey is going to save/partially save everyone bc a self-assured leader makes the best decisions for those that follow.

a little clois fluff: Lois and Clark laying in bed snuggled beneath the sheets just as the sun begins to rise, still both in the comfy, half-asleep state and just enjoying the lazy morning. Clark rolls over to face his wife, who is sleeping on her stomach, and rubs her back through her nightshirt, murmuring softly to her as he pretends to gently plow a field, sow seeds, bring rain, and harvest the crops. Lois just smiles into her pillow at her farmboy.
