sorry i might ramble a bit but I do love that interpretation sm bc i love scar having mixed feelings about grian. And also bc it does add a layer to his love for 3rd life. Bc he loves it and he loves to hang out and playfully tease with grian (ex. the intentional ragebaiting him into killing in pl).

But after what happened in last life and dl and having teamed up with clokers and bamboozers, does he look at his last death there differently? As much as he loves it, the cactus ring ended up adding to the counter of grian killing him. Does he maybe thinks that grian trying to pull away in other seasons tmeat he didnt mean his words there?

Specially bc we as viewers remenber grian really wanted to win along side scar with him alive. And in small moments he shows he still cares about him in some way (maybe doesnt show it the best way but still). And grian insistence of not reapeting the cactus ring talks of how much it affected him when he isnt as insistent with other stuff. But scar cant read grian's mind nor see this moments. So it makes sense that for him this reads as grian having something agaist him as a person, and the fact grian has caused his death many times doesnt help. if we ever get another ls season I'd love to see if scar plays around this and grian's reaction. A golden angst oportunity there

Yes yes!! I would love to see Grian react to Scar's bitterness over the cactus ring because I think he would be genuinely shocked to see Scar regard it as a malicious act! But given his behavior post-cactus ring it makes sense that Scar would be apprehensive to give Grian benefit of the doubt in regards to his intentions. It would be a wonderful interaction I'm dying to see
