On that note. I think identity is so fucking personal, and yeah bi and pan could mean essentially the same to two different people who have chosen to go by different labels and that's ok! Like, seriously.

A label is not just about a technical definition, it's a vibe, it's a mood, it's the word that sparks joy and feels to best represent you as a complex human being.

I like bi because of its history, because of the flag, just because. Hound likes pan bc he feels most at home in that label with the original definition *he personally* came across - being that gender is irrelevant to his attraction.

It doesn't matter that gender is also irrelevant to many bi people's attraction. He is not invalidating that by feeling at home in a personal understanding of what it means to him to be pan.

Bi and pan people face the same stigma, the same societal pressure to conform not to mention institutional discrimination.

Bi and pan people fighting each other is silly, it's redundant, and it plays right into the hand of those who do not wish the queer community well.

Let's do better!
