Toshinori hadn't initially planned for the guests to see his shrunken form quite this quickly… but seeing as he'd given the young girls his room for the night and somehow managed to pass out on the couch with Rian in his lap, there wasn't much to be done.
Damn, I didn't even mean for that to happen… he thought, yawning, feeling the bundle of blanket on his lap shift and twitch. No wonder it happened to all the previous 'me's, It feels so natural…
He opened his eyes and looked down, his cheek heating up as his heart gave a twinge. The kid was still asleep, his head nestled up against Toshinori's chest, damaged-yet-soft hair all over the place, inviting the blonde to brush it away… and when he did, he couldn't help but smile.
The vigilante was quick to pull his hand away, just in time to go unnoticed as Rian's eyes slowly blinked open.
Toshinori couldn't help but smirk. "Good morning, sleepy head. You seem comfortable."
The younger man sprang up with a squeak, impressively managing not to fall over while keeping the blanket around him. The taller man stood up as he got his bearings, stretching slowly while Rian looked around. By the time Toshinori rolled his shoulders and looked down, Rian was blushing up at him.
The vigilante rubbed his neck, trudging into the kitchen with a glance at the clock. 11am. He still had hours before he could safely muscle up again. "Either of you allergic to eggs?" He asked, pulling out a skillet. "This isn't one of my usual hideouts, so I don't have much else, unless you really like rice with soy sauce."
"W-we can eat eggs…" the younger man said softly. "But…"
"But?" The large blonde asked, pausing.
"Can… w-would it be alright… if I cooked?" Toshinori must have looked as perplexed as he felt, because the stuttering brunette quickly continued. "I-I don't mean that I think you can't cook, sir! It's just… I haven't done it in a long t-time… also, y-you still kinda smell like smoke from last night so… y-you should… should shower?"
The older man shrugged, fighting off a laugh, but his voice still held more mirth than he recalled being capable of. "You're not wrong… knock yourself out, kid."
"O-okay…" Rian mumbled, blushing as he carefully removed the blanket he was wrapped in, folding it onto the back of one of the dining chairs and revealing that he wore an oversized T-shirt and boxers that were far too big. "How many…?"
Another shrug. "Just make the whole carton. We'll only be here for a few hours anyway… this evening we're relocating."
Toshinori chuckled, giving Rian a gentle clap on the shoulder. "Good boy. I'll be back."
The blonde fought off an errant thought as he left the room, starting to walk down the hall, but somehow heard it softly echoing out from somewhere behind him.
"Oh no… he's actually cute…"
