Wildwing- Endless Night

Wildwing had accepted his role as Team Captain, and the Team look up to him. However, the white drake only took the title and the Mask, because it was all put on his shoulders by his best friend. 

They all followed Dragaunus through a Dimensional Gateway from Puckworld to Earth. With the Saurians in hiding it was hard to catch them, which made them less closer to going home. Less closer, to seeing their friends and families.

Wildwing sighed sadly, and thought out loud...

Where has the starlight gone? Dark is the day How can I find the way home? Home is an empty dream Lost to the night Canard, I feel so alone You promised you'd be there Whenever I needed you Whenever I call your name You're not anywhere I'm trying to hold on Just waiting to hear your voice One word, just a word will do To end this nightmare

Canard was never far from Wildwing’s mind. They’ve been best friends for a long time. During the chase, Dragaunus unleashed an ElectoMagnetic Worm, and Canard sacrificed himself to save the team. Wildwing believes his friend is still alive and has vowed to find him. Though it’s been hard to hold on to hope in the situation. 

When will the dawning break Oh, endless night Sleepless I dream of the day When you were by my side Guiding my path Canard, I can't find the way You promised you'd be there Whenever I needed you Whenever I call your name You're not anywhere I'm trying to hold on Just waiting to hear your voice One word, just a word will do To end this nightmare The stars started to fade, and the duck could see the very crack of dawn. Then, it sounded like voices in the wind, singing.

I know that the night must end And that the sun will rise And that the sun will rise I know that the clouds must clear And that the sun will shine And that the sun will shine Wildwing realized, that very sunset, has a sunrise. A new sense of hope filled in his body. He wasn’t going to give up. They will defeat Dragaunus! They will find Canard! As the sun rose over Anaheim, Wildwing watched from the roof of the Pond, with the most hopeful, determined smile he had in a long time.
