day 22: cooking/baking

fandom/pairing: Acchi Kocchi/ Prankster Duo aka Mayoi, Sakaki (sidedish of Tsumiki, Io) setting: Sakaki and Mayoi setting up an exclusive, one-day only cake shop with just the two of them running it. Nothing to get their heart pumping but with challenges like these. prompt: cooking/baking

They plan to set up a super-exclusive, one-day only cake shop.

“Of course, we’ll rent out Miiko-nee’s Hatch Potch for a day.” Sakaki explained; a mixture of boyish ambition and business-like seriousness.

“I don’t think –” Hime, considerate as always, verbalises her concern flusteredly. She was cut off mid-sentence by an over-enthusiastic Mayoi.

“And I’ll be the waitress while he cooks!” the female of the prankster duo interrupted, so ecstatic that the calmer (but not necessarily saner) trio of their group can picture rotating flowers surrounding her head.

The ginger-head continued; heat in her words, “It’ll be a challenge!”

Then the couple was seen stifling their maniac laughter and crazed twinkling in their eyes.

Resigned, Io merely advised the two, “Don’t do anything stupid.” Tsumiki nodded along with Io’s words, but otherwise remained silent and unconcerned over the pranksters’ antics, contented with Io’s patting all the while.

“We won’t~” Sakaki and Mayoi, in sync, sang.

They visited Sakaki’s and Mayoi’s super-exclusive, one-day only cake shop named “Secret Shop!” in the afternoon.

Surprisingly, the duo stayed true to their words, selling mouth-watering dessert prepared by Sakaki himself whilst Mayoi served their customers eagerly.

The trio hadn’t know what to expect – maybe some hoax because they are famed as pranksters, or maybe even some cake shop with a spotlight on their preference for horror-filled tricks. They had not expected the long queue in or the scattered departing of satisfied customers.

They were in Hatch Potch, simply hanging out as friends do when Miiko Inui, owner of Hatch Potch, dropped by their table and offered with a mirthful beam, “How about another ‘Secret Shop!’ event?”
