Inhale....&& exhale...It had already been hectic day for the younger prosecutor, trying his hardest to work up the courage to speak to his mentor with the constant worry that just like he use to with his father, that he’d be bothering him while in the middle of work. But here he was now, standing infront of the Chief Prosecutor’s office, hands practically shaking as one extended, giving a small rasp to the door before given permission to enter. ‘ Mister...Edgeworth? ‘ He spoke slowly, his body a bit tense as he peeked through the cracked door. Lips pursed together, trying to bat away any lingering thoughts before he was acknowledged enough to try && step in && close the door behind him.

‘ There’s uhm...something I’ve been meaning to inquire. ‘ His tone was shaky, fingertips pressing together as his thoughts were gathered. It was like he practiced what he wanted to ask in his head over && over, but just going out on a limb && letting it out seemed impossible. ‘ I mean if that’s alright. ‘

“What, really?!” They’d been waiting on this for days-- they had a crime scene, several suspects, a case building on either side of the courtroom, but without a body, it was hard to prove much of anything. Phoenix had been quite irritated over the situation. And without a body, but with plenty of evidence pointing to it being found close by, both defense and prosecution had agreed to delaying the trial date.

“How long until we get an autopsy report?” Phoenix asked, getting up from his desk and rifling through his own crime scene notes, tapping on the pages for a moment. “There’s a couple of things that need specific attention...provided the body’s even in a state to get satisfactory evidence.”

Klavier’s usual smug self was not there right now. Instead, the head prosecutor got to see another side of the blond, one that rarely ever showed. And when it did, it was in the privacy of his own home.

Long locks were captured in a messy bun instead of being in its usual style, and even the way of dressing was almost messy. It looked like he had just thrown on whatever, and that was not awfully off in this case. The guy leaned against the door frame of Edgeworth’s office, waiting for an okay or a decline.
