this has not been asked before so no worries!!! First, I’d only thought of the song tied to Cas before, so I’d like to share this snippet from my pinned post for MIKA!Cas:
No Place in Heaven -> Conversations with Anna and Dean about his doubt. The fight with Uriel in 4x16. 6x20 bench monologuing. That scene where he looks up like >:[ I believed in you! Generally early seasons Cas before Chuck is revealed in all his shittiness. Now, I love mikanatural with all my heart, but admittedly have only looked at most songs through the lens of thee one and only Castiel. THAT SAID, just straight up looking at lyrics, listening again rn as I answer this ask, and considering Sam’s personal relationship with religion (hello Galahad story & Sam’s early-seasons excitement at angels being real), I would absolutely pin “No Place in Heaven” as more of a Sam song than a Dean song. I mean:
