calling all reddit refugees from subreddits related to skyrim/modding/linux

hello! i've been trying for a week now to get skyui to work and, since i can't go to reddit anymore, i'm looking for any redditors here who might know things.

i have ubuntu 22.something, skyrim anniversary edition running through proton experimental, vortex installed through steamtinkerlaunch, also on proton experimental, and all other skse-depentant mods are working, but not skyui. everything is loaded in the order loot asks me to.

i've tried so many things already, although all of it has had to be improvised since i can't access reddit, and i'm not the most computer-literate person in the world. one weird thing is that, although skse is installed via vortex, it still can't detect that i have skse installed, but only skyui is complaining about it (and a skyui dependent mod), my other skse mods aren't complaining.
