Latley i've been thinking about a pretty dark Radiostatic AU which I've been privatly working on for a while. I've kept changing things around because I was struggling with the tone and story but i decided to finally create something for it. (I rarely ever even talk about AU stuff, oh well...) (english is not my first language btw, so im sorry for any writing mistakes!)
It takes place years before canon events at a time where Alastor and Vox where still friends and business partners, living together in a small house and sowly climbing up the social ladder of hell. One day though, Alastor suddenly becomes very ill and begins to behave strangely. He hardly sleeps, loses his appetite and grows weaker by the day. Vox tries everything in his power to help his friend but quickly reaches his limits when the other starts to become posessive and paranoid around him, often destroying things around their home in fits of anger without ever even recalling that he did so afterwards. Despite it all Vox never leaves his side, despide of how tired and powerless he feels, despite of how many times Alastor begs for him to do so in his rare moments of clarity.
Although nobody seems to be able to diagnose Alastor Vox still spends all his time and money looking after and trying to find a cure for his best friend even after he no longer can even recall him by name. Drained and knowing no other way out he ends up in debt to a deceitful centipede like sinner who not only seems to be in possession of the only medicine able to improve Alastors symptons but also promises to help him out financially in return for his soul. Vox dosen't care anymore he only wants his friend to look at him like he used to, for him to feel just slightly better and more like himself again. Vox will manage for himself... somehow.
(Or: Alastor suffers from CWD and Vox just wants his friend back, who he may or may not have a crush on)
