The wait is OVER. #LastManStanding premieres September 28 at 8/7c on FOX .
Things Last Man Standing Has
A daughter that doesn’t fit really any feminine stereotypes.
A father and mother who support said daughter in all her decisions.
Another daughter that is the epitome of a girly-girl and a bit of an airhead, but ultimately ends up starting and running her own business.
Yet another daughter who is, for the first few seasons, a single mother.
Said single mother had her child when she was in High School and the father bailed.
Her parents are never ashamed of her for having a child when she was in High School.
Her mother actually says she’s proud of how she handled everything and she was so brave for it.
A black man in a starring/supporting role depending on the season.
A black woman in a supporting role who is a teacher, inspires a white woman to become a teacher, and runs for some type of political-like position in the school she teaches at. (I don’t remember which, but it was something in the school.)
A woman who is a literal scientist and tries to help make the world more eco-friendly.
A man who picks up some of the slack for his wife so she can focus on her career.
A guy who was abandoned by his mother and had a really crappy childhood, but is still so good and kind and visits her grandmother in a Nursing Home.
Said guy once cancelled his Thanksgiving plans with his girlfriend and her family, who looks at as a family, to find his grandmother who ran away.
Said guy also didn’t have sex with his girlfriend who he had just started dating, because it would involve lying to someone he looks up to and he didn’t want to jeopardize his relationship with her or the one he looks up to.
That’s also the reason he didn’t move in with his girlfriend.
He also will do literally anything for his girlfriend, including trying to better himself by going back to school, attempting to become a businessman, and knowing that she has to focus on herself and her future and it’s okay if that doesn’t involve him.
He is literally the complete opposite of toxic masculinity and it is amazing.
A loving relationship between a married couple with kids.
Two conservative characters. Literally only two. Everyone else is either liberal or in the middle.
Has lots of education and teaching without talking down to people or being cheesy.
A conservative man becoming friends with a lesbian.
Said conservative man being insensitive and upsetting said lesbian, originally not getting why, and then seeing how he messed up and apologizes.
Episodes about racism, sexism, gossiping, making the world green, cheating on your partner, separation and divorce, drugs, and how America is the Melting Pot, which apparently a lot of people don’t get.
And the wife says a lot of puns. Like, a lot.
And you can't mess with German Measles. It starts with an itch and ends with you losing Poland.
