Satan and Me Writing Prompt: Dialogue

"Ok, never have I ever purposely jumped off of a roof," Parallel and 25 year old Natalie said.

Parallel and 25 year old Michael Panagakos grimaced and chugged the soda down, slamming it down on the table and sending a glare Natalie's way, "Really? It was one time, Nat."

"One time? You did twice!"

"Says the girl slipped off of a roof," he retorted.

"That was definitely one time and an accident, you jumped off of a roof purposefully!"

"To stop a serial killer!"

"You didn't have to jump off of a fuckin' roof to do it!"

"He gave me no choice!"

"Gave you no - ?!"

Kristie interrupted before Parallel Natalie could start strangling Parallel Mike, "What exactly happened?"

P. Natalie looked at the others in the room who were giving the dimensional and time travelers weird and slightly scared looks. Mike and Michael were especially giving their parallel human counterpart a scared and horrified look. She looked at her all-but-blood brother and raised an eyebrow, "Do you want to give them the honor or should I?"

The FBI Agent of the Behavioral Science Unit/Hostage Situation and Homicide Unit sighed in resignation and waved her off, "I'll do it. It was my first case, not only as an FBI Agent but also as a Homicide Investigator (at the time there wasn't any Hostage situation for me to negotiate to get tested on the field for). We had just managed to track down the serial killer just as she was setting up for her next target. I'm not going to get into any details, but it had ended up in a chase along the rooftops. She had managed to get a hold of my partner and told me to stop. I tried to warn her against doing anything but she wouldm't listen. She hurt my partner and I knew that if i didn't stop her then she would hurt more. I checked my partner then tackled her down to stop her from escaping. Normally I would say that I hadn't been aware of the fact that we were close to the edge but that would be lying. I had been very aware."

"How the hell did you survive?!"

Mike chuckled nervously, "Yeah, um... Funny story, I have no idea. I had hit my head before that and I had a bullet wound on the left side of my chest - it actually was closer to my shoulder than chest. So I had blacked out immediately after tackling the serial killer off of the roof, and basically I have no memory from then to the time I woke up in the hospital 3 weeks later. Both of my shoulders were sore though so I had assumed that I had managed to catch hold of something to stop my descent. I don't know. I do still have the scars to prove that it had actually happened."

"Dude."

There was silence for a while after that. 17 year old Mike (and 17 year old Natalie) shifted closer to 25 year old Mike to reassure himself (themselves) that his parallel and older counterpart was still alive.

A couple of minutes later they slowly started up the game of never have I ever, slowly learning about their older parallel selves through the older and hardened Detective Natalie and FBI agent Mike's stories about each other and their friends.

Oh hey, so you remember that thing that happened in OCTOBER? And how I said I’d finish it and how that was a big fat lie? Well I was sorting through stuff and here’s what I finished but never uploaded. RIP me.

Number 21 - A Character In a Tux

Number 22 - A Character In a Dress My randomiser (if you remember me using it) chose Sheila, who I’d never drawn, and I added in Natalie since I hadn’t drawn her in ages.

Number 23 - A Character In Another’s Clothes I took it one step further and did a wardrobe swap with Zoe and Chamuel. Cuties!

Number 28 - Oneself As A SaM Character I’d have thought more people would have done this one! I took a direct quote from a conversation me and a friend had and turned us into MIke P and Natalie. I’m Michael, I have no idea.
