the depth of wilful ignorance about and defensive hostility towards veganism on this website really does get me down sometimes. but at least i do know that these people are morally feeble and genuine complete fools. like i really do want everyone who's ever said anything like "veganism is inherently racist" or "veganism is bad for the environment because of vegan leather" or "plants have feelings too so where do you draw the line" or "why don't vegans care about human exploitation in agriculture" (all things i just read minutes ago) that you are a complete fool and a shill for a capitalist industry built on torture and cruelty. people will just rattle off these kinds of nonsense arguments (that anyone who's been vegan for more than five minutes can refute or debunk) thinking that they're these original and insightful observations when in fact they are deeply reactionary, defensive and frankly very right-wing... but of course they will never see this because eating meat benefits them and they believe they have leftism 100% figured out already
