I really like The Devil Is A Part-Timer! and I'm happy it has a second season after so many years, but one thing I could really do without in the series is the fatphobia aimed at Mikitty.

There's nothing wrong with this woman. She's beautiful and serves as a guardian figure, giving shelter and aid to the main characters. But they reward her kindness with constant cruelty, mocking her as disgusting.

A photo of her in a bikini, enjoying the beach in Hawaii, is treated as a weapon. They won't even show more than a peek of it on-screen because it's supposed to be so bad.

Just because she's fat.

Of course this same series is heavily focused on sexualizing a 16 year old the author audaciously weighs in at 95lbs. I shouldn't expect much from it. But man I was hoping they'd tone this aspect down coming back 10 years later.

They talk about Maison Book Girl’s theme, what their fans are like, and about Megumi’s part with the performance tracks.  The girls are actually very well acquainted with each other- Rei and Rie are the winners of Miss iD the same year Aoi participated, and Rei and Megumi are seen together all the time, Megumi’s adopted idol baby sister lol
