Minho stands on his porch as he looks at Mr. Choi's house, the front door and trunk were left open but no sign of him or Irina. The small boy looks both ways as he walks up to the curbside, he crosses and looks in Mr. Choi's trunk to see groceries in the back. Minho grabs two bags and walks up to the front door that was halfway open, he pushes it open fully. "Mr. Choi, Irina?" He calls out as he walks into the kitchen to see some bags on the island and a jug of milk on the floor, Minho sets his bags on the island before picking up the jug and opening the fridge. "I brought in the rest of your groceries." He calls out again before standing in the hallway in silence, he could hear a faint ringing. He moves his way down the hallway towards Mr. Choi's room, opening the door to see no one but Irina's phone going off. Minho walks over to the night table and turns off the alarm, it was set to make lunch.

"Irina?" He calls out as he sees the bathroom light on underneath the door, he opens the door to finally hear the shower and hot stream pour out. No one is in inside the shower, Minho turns it off and looks around to find no one but things running as if there was. The boy was confused and worried about his family, where did they go? What happened to them? Are they okay? He sighs as he left the house and closes the door behind him, he closes the trunk to see Mr. Choi's key in the lock. He pulls it out and looks around him, he was baffled. Mr. Choi would never do such a thing, Irina does that which annoyed Mr. Choi. When he shows no one, he ran over to his house. "Mom! Mom!" He screams at the top of his lungs as panic rushes through him, "Minho, you will wake the baby." She scolds as Junsu walks out of Insik's room.

He looks between them before out the window towards Woojun's house, "They are gone." He says as he looks back at his mother. "Something happened and we need to call the police." He says as he tries to keep an indoor voice when he wanted to scream and cry, "How do you know that, baby?" She asks as Junsu sits down beside her on the couch. "Because they aren't there and Mr. Choi's keys were left in the car." He says as he lifts up the keys to show his mother but was met with a disapproving look. "It is not okay to still, Minho." Yukina says as she lends over and takes the keys from him swiftly, "And you know Irina leaves them in there." She says as she lends back against Junsu. "I know but they aren't inside! They are missing!" He yells getting frustrated with his parent, "Minho, don't yell at your mother." Junsu scolds him as he rubs Yukina's arm in a comforting fashion.

Minho groans before running towards his mother's room and pushing the door open, he looks around before seeing his mother's phone and grabbing it. He runs out into the hall and down to the front door, dodging Junsu on the way when he tries to grab him. Junsu shouts his name but Minho runs over to Mr. Choi's house before using the emergency button on the lock screen to call 911, "911, what's your emergency?" A female voice answers as Minho watches he looks over his shoulder. "There is something wrong with my neighbor, Mr. Choi and his wife." He answers as he looks back at Mr. Choi's house, "Okay, what is your name and what seems to be wrong hun?" She asks as her typing could be faintly heard through the speaker of the phone.

"My name is Minho and my neighbors are missing." He says and his vision blurs as he opens the unlocked door to the house, "I know it might not be something to worry about but it is like they have vanished, I came over to help put away groceries and everything seems to be stopped midway through." He says as he looks at the groceries again. "Why does it seems that way, Minho?" She asks as she seems to be typing quicker than before, "Because the shower was left on, Mrs. Choi's alarm was going off for thirty minutes and Mr. Choi left the groceries out. Also, everything was left open-" Minho was cut off as he takes a quick breath. "Okay, baby, please breath for me. I have some men heading your way, don't touch anything else. You can do that for me, right?" She asks sweetly as if she had children of her own, "They are just a few minutes out, the phone says you are on 314 S 3rd, is that correct?" She asks as she pulls clicks on a few things.

"Yes, ma'am." He whispers as he walks outside and looks towards the direction of his school, "I am standing outside." He says as he can hear the sirens now. "Okay, Minho, I want you to show the police the house. They know why they are there, they are going to ask you some questions. Are you going to be okay to answer them?" She asks as Minho sees the police comer down the hill. "Yes, thank you." He replies, "You are welcome, hun." She says before he finally hangs up and the police pull up. An older man that looks he could be his grandfather and a younger cop that seems he might be in training, steps out. "You must be Minho, Mrs. Ong told us at least." The older man asks as the boy nods, "I am Officer Yung and this is Officer Kim." Officer Yung says as he looks around for a few moments before looking at Minho.

Minho takes them to the front porch and lets them inside as he explains what he has done, telling them everything up to the emergency call to Mrs. Ong. Officer Kim checks around outside and Officer Yung had Minho stay outside for safety as he checks the rooms, they return confused but Officer Yung held a photo. "Is this Mr. and Mrs. Choi?" He asks as he shows Minho a photo of two people that look completely different than who he knew, "No." He shakes his hand quickly as he unlocks his mother's phone and searched through the photographs but became extremely confused when he sees the photographs with Mr. and Mrs. Choi has changed to look like the people in the picture the officer held. "That isn't Mr. and Mrs. Choi, I don't know those people. Everything changed!" Minho was becoming panicked as he tries to quickly go through all of the photos his mother took.

Officer Yung pushes a button on his device that sat on his shoulder, "To all officers, listen carefully. Alpha Lima India Echo November, this is not a test. Be on the lookout officers." His voice was stern and cold as he watches Minho look up at him as he was piecing it together. Officer Kim grabs the boy's arm when he turns to run, "Mom!" He screams at the top of his lungs making the door of his house slam open. Yukina runs down the steps and pathway towards them, "What is going on here!" She shouts as Junsu strolls behind holding a small crying baby. "We need to take Minho to the station to ask some questions about Mr. and Mrs. Choi." Officer Yung answers as Yukina takes Officer Kim's hands off of her son and picks him up, "I think not. If you want to ask questions then you ask them right here and right now, if not then you can get gone." Yukina shot at him as Junsu watches the officers cautiously as Minho cries into his lover's shoulder.

The older man waved off his partner and points to the car, "No, thank you. We will come back later for some questions if we really need them. Thank you for your time." He says as he steps into his vehicle before driving off. Yukina carries her baby boy into her house, rubbing his back and sitting on the couch. This time she got a good look at her neighbor's house, finally seeing what was making her son so upset before. The house was different, it felt wrong just looking at it and the car wasn't Woojun's. She hugs her son as she thinks about the picture she saw in older officer's hand when she lifts her son up, strangers in the photo that didn't belong there. She sighs as she kisses her son's head and gets up once again to get him ready to bed, she will think about this later but for now, her son needs her.

CHAPTER TEN: HEAR ME

Voices combined in the air as thousands and thousands of humans gathering outside of the Rey manor, Ulits stand in front of the manor watching a force of listeners grow. They were so different that they baffle the Ulits, Ulits had some matching features but humans didn't. They saw all different ages, some as young as children and others as old as elders. They were bikers, hippies, doctors, schoolers, teachers, and so much more that they couldn't quite grasp. They were talking amongst themselves, some holding signs that say something positive or savage.

The crowd fell silent when the balcony doors open and Minho steps out with his wife behind him, everyone watching and waiting as Lilo set up the microphone along with speakers for everyone. "Thank you for all coming here," Minho speaks as his eyes drift across the sea of people that stretch far down the streets, "Thank you for all the things you have done for the Ulits. Protecting them, feeding and giving them shelter. Thank you for being so open." Minho watches the Ulits bow and some drifting in the crowds to give hugs as 'thank you's. They have been fighting for a few years for the Ulits but it is far from over, they have much more to fight.

"But you didn't come here for thank you's and to tell me how much I appreciate you, you came here because there is an issue that has been at our door for far too long!" Minho's voice rises and the crowd throws up their fists, hollering back. "The American President refuses to allow Ulits in the United States and he has taken it too far. Taking people out of their homes, beaten down innocent people, and ripping Ulits out of safety because he concerns them a threat!" The crowd grows in volume as people start to raise their signs once more, anger ripples through the crowd. The same anger that holds his body tight, suffocating him with all his rage. "Are we going to let him get away with this?" Minho asks as they crowds erupt, "Are we going to let the people willing to do this, get away with this?" He watches as news vans start to pull through the crowd. "Are we going to fight back? Are we going to show them their wrongs?" He watches the news reporters set up, he allows it. He has a message to send, he was going to be heard.

Minho stays quiet but the crowd rages, waiting patiently as his wife holds his hand. "Are you recording?" The young man asks in a spine-shivering calmness, watching several reporters point the cameras at him. The people behind the cameras holding their thumbs up, the reporters falling silence with the sea of people. "Hear me, the United States, I am only saying this once." His voice carries a harsh coldness as he lends forward, "We are coming and we are getting what is right. You took Ulits, you beat people down, and claim it is for the greater good." His blood feels like it is boiling underneath his skin as he watches the crowd turn to the cameras. "Hear me when I say we will show you what is right, we will take back the Ulits. Nothing will stop us, nothing will keep us from rescuing the Ulits." His voice shows the anger within as he grips the microphone tightly, "I will take back the freedom you stole."

The man stands up straight, finish with his speech as the crowd starts to chant 'Hear me' to the cameras. The newscast trying their best to get back into the vans as the people shook the vehicles, anger rushes through the crowds as they start to move out. Some say the United States of America is now at war with the world but that would be too simple, they were at war with the protectors of the Ulits and Minho is the leader. Some were scared of the power he held and others would do anything for the Ulits, the otherworldly beings have help Mother Earth so much they think they were angels in disguise or angels in their purest form.

Irina worked with a group called Haven for anyone that needed help, Woojun help taught Ulits, young people, or people that need a restart on how to work with Earth. The world was getting better and animals were also gaining, Ulits happily taking dangerous jobs that were quite easy for them to do. The people around the world we're changing as well, adapting to the events around them. Children are taken care of by the older Ulits or Hen Ulits, seeing they were the best to care for and they didn't need currency to get day by day. They needed interaction to live, humans willing to give attention and receive such.

Woojun pulls Irina close to him and holds her, quietly listening to her breath after the group finally leaves the building. The radio in the corner quietly playing in the background as Woojun starts to sway to the music, Irina smiling as she sways along with him. They voice starting up together and combining into a nice match, "Put your head on my shoulder~" they sang along as they closed their eyes. Comfortable with being close with each other as the world around them drift away, leaving them in their own little world together but their moment was interrupted by two small children calling out to them. Irina laughs as she opens her eyes to see her son and daughter running towards them, she pulls away and hugs them as Woojun kneels down beside them.

Lilo wraps her arms around Minho's waist and lends against him as he cooks dinner, "I love you, Lilo." Minho finally speaks up and turns around in her arms. "I love you, Minho." She smiles and gives him a quick kiss before pulling back, Minho rubs her belly. "In four months, our baby will be here." He whispers as he lends against her, "You will be a great dad and I will be a great mom." She whispers into his ear as a familiar but old song starts to play on the radio. Minho turns off the stove before holding a hand out, "May I have this dance, my lady?" He asks in a false accent as a smile pulls on their lips. "Why of course." She replies as she takes his hand, allowing herself to be pulled close as the song plays sweetly around them.

CHAPTER NINE: HELP

[START OF NEWS] It has been twelve months since the Ulits have arrived on Earth and ten months since the citizens around the world fight against police, protecting and caring for the otherworldly beings. Due to this inconvenience, the police have been unsuccessful in containing any specimens, people refusing to work with police make it ten times harder. The United States President feels that they are here to harm us but other presidents disagree, North and South Korea Presidents going as far as refusing to work with the United States until they back off on searching their homelands. Japan, Australia, and many islands have stepped forward saying they welcome these aliens with open arms. This making them a safe place for the aliens and untouchable by the ones that one to hurt them, these places going across the screen are helping Aliens and keeping them out of United States hands. Even when a lot of people are accepting of these worldly beings, a lot are also against them. Many cities and towns are divided by the people, aside from helping and a side harming. Which side are you on? Are you accepting of a new species or against otherworldly? [END OF NEWS]

Woojun turns off the television making Irina turn towards him in surprise, "I was watching that." She states as she watches her husband button up his shirt. "You been watching enough news, get dressed. We promised Lilo and Minho we will be at their wedding, it is safe enough to go now." He speaks as he watches her get up off the couch and walk over to him. Her nimble fingers working his tie around his neck as she stands close to him, "I know it is, I just need to know my fellow people will be okay." She whispers into his ear and planting a kiss below his ear, pulling away and heading to the room as she smiles to herself. Irina loves Woojun, it didn't feel like they have been married for twenty-two years but they were. Irina pulls a dress out and a pair of heels.

Rapid knockings reached her ears as she finishes curling her hair, Irina quickly getting up and making her way down the halls to Woojun. Panic wraps itself tightly around fear as she could hear three voices and one being her husbands, none sounding happy. She turns the corner to see two men in navy blue uniforms and badges, her skin tightens making her unable to move as she watches them try to manipulate Woojun but it wasn't working. "You have no warrant, you may leave now." Mr. Choi spat back at the officers as his jaw tightens, "We don't need the warrant to search for the thing." A young officer shot back but Woojun knew he was wrong. "To search my property you need a warrant signed by a judge if you don't leave I will call the head office about this harassment." Woojun stood his ground as he pulls out his phone as he speaks, ready to call the higher-ups about this inconvenience on his day.

The older officer waves his hands as he pulls his partner back, "No, sorry for the trouble. Have a nice day, sir." The officer was quick to apologize and leave with the younger. Woojun slams his door shut as he dials a number and runs a hair through his hair, "Woojun-" Irina's voice catches his attention. The tanned man whips his head towards the hallway to only have his heart jolt in pain to see his wife in tears, "Baby, it is okay." He whispers as he walks over to her and pulls her into a hug as a voice finally answers. "Lilo, tell Minho something for me." Woojun answers as Irina wraps herself into her lover's hold, "Code Ulits, please be quick." He hangs up and holds his wife close before pulling away.

"We need to go and we need to do it now." Woojun lifts his wife's head up and placing a soft kiss on her lips before pulling her to the garage, fear of losing Irina rushes through his body as he helps her into the car. He needed to get Irina to Minho's house, untouchable grounds for police and a haven for Ulits. He opens the garage door going to the alleyway instead of the street, hoping the police didn't know as he pulls out and starts using the back roads to Minho's. Irina grips his free hand tightly as she looks in the mirrors, hoping they were safe as they were a mile off from help. Irina felt like she was going to puke as she shows Minho's place surrounded by police of all kinds and Minho standing in front of the large iron gates, fearlessly facing the people before him as Ulits watch from behind the safety of the walls.

Lilo standing at the edge of the block caught Woojun's attention and heads her way, Lilo gets in as they drive behind Minho's place. "There is a parking lot and there is a part that goes down, we have to walk it but it is hidden and takes us to the manor." Lilo says with a big smile as she points to a parking unit across the street, "Are you sure?" Woojun asks as he pulls in and slows down to look for the spot. "Yes because the door looks like a fire escape, there!" She says as she points at the door that literally looks like a fire escape and graffiti on the side of it, they park as close as possible before getting out. "Why are the police there?" Irina whispers as they look around themselves, making way to the secret tunnel. Lilo pulls out a key and unlocks it before helping them in and locking it behind them. "Someone didn't like Minho helping the Ulits and now they are trying to get in but Minho being police drop out and a successful lawyer, knows what he is doing." She smiles as she held Irina's hand and help them down the dim pathway, "Don't worry about Minho. He has been doing this since he found you in that wreckage, he will never give any of you up." her voice filled with confidence as she walks up some stairs.

She let them into the manor and locks the several doors behind them before making way to the front to see Minho's back, still standing against the police. "Irina-" Lilo's voice reaches her ears that making her turn to the young girl, "You raised him well if you never entered his life and never showed him so much love like you did and have been. I don't think he would be doing this, this is because of you and all your love." She smiles at the Ulit with so much happiness and love. Irina's tiger eyes drift to Minho as she thinks about Lilo's words, how far this man has come from his childhood. Becoming what he wanted to be, an anchor and a home. Minho was the start of the helping hands, a tidal wave of making a difference. Irina looks over at Woojun if it wasn't for Yukina breaking her heart than she would not be with Woojun that held her close to him or her life here on Earth. With people's help, one step at a time, everyone can make a difference.

CHAPTER TWO: TULIPS

Woojun stumbles down the hallway of his home at six in the morning towards his door where the doorbell was ringing like a phone, he swung the door open roughly to only look down to see Minho with his backpack and a white tulip. "Where is Miss Irina?" Minho asks quietly as he peeks around Mr. Choi's legs to see if she was behind him, "You been doing this for a month, Minho. You know she is asleep at this time." Woojun mutters as he lends against the wall, making the door block most of Minho's view. "I need to see her before I go off to school. It is important!" He whines as he lends over peering pass the door as much as possible, "You say that every time you arrive and every time you give her a tulip of some color, tell her how pretty she then asks if she will walk you to school." Irritation laced his voice as he watches the small child try to get into his home.

"Minho, is that you at the door?" Irina's voice drifts down the hallway as she walks towards the front door, brushing her hair. The man opens the door still irriated by being woken so early, grumpily leaving them to go get some more needed rest before getting up for work. "Will you add this to your other tulips?" His comes out small, wobbly as his feelings hurt from how Woojun acted towards him, the Ulit coos at the seven-year-old and lifts him up. "Of course, baby. How is your mommy?" She asks as carries him to the small garden she had made while living here, giving her something to do besides babysitting or talking with parents. Setting down the small child and taking the small potted tulip from him, placing it besides the other small tulips on a smooth top rock. "Mommy is still lonely and works a lot, she wants to know if you will come by again." He rambles as he plays with her hair, "I told her you would because it is meatloaf night! You promised you would come over and make some!" He smiles up at her as she lifts him back up and headed towards the first of the house.

"Of course, I also enjoy Yukina's company," Irina replies as she takes his small hand into her's and starts down the sidewalk to his elementary school, she promised Yukina that she would walk him so she didn't have to be late to work every day. Between Yukina and Woojun, she didn't know what to do with herself. Her heart aches for them both, both struggling to do their best but always feeling like it is never enough. Feeling like they are failing the people around them but they aren't, far from it. Woojun helps provide the necessities for everyone in his neighbor, from food to female products, he was making a difference. Mothers not having to worry about what to buy or single parents when they seem to always fall short on money. Yukina, she raises money to help provide people in her neighbor money for emergencies. She learned that before Minho was born, a wildfire destroyed most of the houses and the money she raised helped them kept a roof over people's heads.

They might not see it but they helped more people then a stranger on the outside of their community, they have done more help than a church. Minho tugs on her hand, her head snaps down at him in confusion. "Yes, darling?" She asks softly but her voice comes out shaky and she notices her vision is blurry, "Why are you crying?" Minho asks in a sad, panicked tone as he starts to get upset too. He didn't understand why the beautiful lady in front of him got so sad, why she was quiet. He hugs her legs, hoping to give her comfort as small cries leave him. Irina kneels down and gives a proper hug as she allows herself to cry, "I am sad that Woojun and your mom doesn't know how amazing they are for helping so many people. There isn't enough of me to tell them that they are or thank them enough." She speaks up as she wipes her tears and the small child's.

Minho looks away in thought, he was looking at his school. The playground was filled with kids, wasting time before they had to go to class. "I know!" He shouts making some teachers and kids look their way, "How about my school thank them and tell them they are amazing!" His smile lights up his features. "There is only one of you but there is a ton of us!" He shouts excitedly as he was placed on the sidewalk, his little feet start to move his legs. Pulling him towards the door of the school with the woman behind him, "Good morning, Miss Irina." a few people greet her as she chases after the small boy. "Good morning!" She would call back with a small laugh as she goes around the corner and down the ramp to the cafeteria to see Minho already talking to Principle Jung, she is kneeling in front of the small boy as his hands move around as he talks loudly.

"That is a good idea, Minho. How about during our news we tell everyone to gather in the gym to make Woojun and Yukina something as a thank you?" She asks but it was really the plan, she wanted Minho to think it was his choice. The small boy nods his head happy as he looks over at Irina, "We did it!" He shouts happily as he runs over to her and hugs her legs. "Now you don't have to cry anymore about being alone! We will make sure they are.. are... welcomed?" Minho looks up for help, he didn't know the word he wanted to use. "Appreciated." She smiles as she kisses the top of his hair as the bell rings, "Thank you, Minho, see you after school." She smiles as she watches the small boy run off.

The gym is a mess. Glitter, crayons, paper, glue, and other stuff is everywhere as the kids from Elementary, middle, and high came to make a sign for their appreciation march. Irina felt overwhelmed with happiness to see so many people joining in to show people in their life or Woojun and Yukina, that they are thanked and appreciated for all they have done. Irina takes a shaky breath as she looks down at her big sign, it had tulips decorating around the edges but the words say 'Rey Yukina, Choi Woojun; Thank you for everything you have done.'

Minho runs over as fast as his legs carried him as he holds the stick that held up his sign, "Awe, that is lovely, Minho." She coos as she sees the glitter everywhere on him and on the letters of his sign. "We have ten minutes and we are ready to march down the streets!" His smile as he pulls out a letter from his pocket, "This is for you! I have one for mommy and for Mr. Choi!" Irina opens up the bright green letter that had glued on words on the inside. 'Miss Irina, thank you for taking care of me when my mom got tired or was not able to leave the bed. Thank you for making my mommy happy again and for making Mr. Choi laugh. Thank you.' tears well up in her eyes as she looks up at him, "Thank you for making this for me, Minho." She whispers as she hugs the boy. "You are welcome, Miss Irina." He mutters into her hair, his eyes getting teary as well.

Irina and Minho stood at the front of the march as they head down the street, parents and anyone who wasn't at the gym stood in their lawns or sat in their parked cars as they watch humans of all ages holding up signs with all different kind of words. Amazement filled people's faces as well as tears in their eyes, as they read the signs. Minho looks around seeing everyone's reaction, he saw a grandfather kneeling down as his granddaughter runs into his arms as he cries. A mother holding a baby hugs a teenager as she whispers something into their hair, a boy giving a letter to a girl to soon be in tears as she hugs him. A teacher walking over to their husband as they tell them thank you, over and over again.

Yukina and Woojun stood at the corner of their street, his mother is in tears and Woojun was gaping in shock at all the signs that had his name or her name on them. Minho runs over while dropping his sign, grabbing the letters out of his pockets and handing the letters to them. Irina picks up his sign, allowing Principal Jung to take over the small march as she joins her small circle of friends. Yukina opens the crumbled letter, "Thank you, mommy, for all the things you have made for me. Thank you for loving me even when you can't love yourself. Thank you for being my mommy." She reads out loud. Yukina lets out a sob as she pulls her son closer to her, "I love you, mommy." He whispers as he hugs her as strong as he could. "I love you too, baby. I love you so much. Thank you for making this." She whispers into his hair as she holds him.

Woojun kneels down as he reads the letter quietly than looks up at Irina as he reads it out loud, "Thank you, Mr. Choi, for giving us food when we did not have a penny to our name. Thank you for letting me stay at your home when mom was still at work late. Thank you for letting me still in your bed and when you slept on the couch. Thank you for buying us beds and other stuff for the house when mom cannot. Thank you so much." Irina kneels down, hugging him as he cries into her shoulder. Minho stands quietly aside as his mother wipes her tears, "I am sorry for being so mean in the mornings, little man." He whispers as he pulls away from Irina and hugs the small kid. "It is okay! I know it is early. Thank you for everything, Mr. Choi!" He says sweetly as Woojun hugs him tighter, "No. Thank you, Minho. Thank you for showing me you care." Woojun replies and kisses the boy's hair and stands up.

"Irina is making meatloaf! Want to come over?" Minho shouts happily as he takes his mother's hand and looks up the tall man, his smile shows his dimples as he nods. "Of course if that is alright with Yukina." He says as he looks up at her and the woman smiles back, "You and Irina are always welcome for dinner." She smiles as they start to head off to the small house to make the dinner together.

• CHAPTER ONE: FIRST STEP •

[Warning: Blood, slight scare, boring, mess, rambles, etc.]

"Jungkook!" A girl screams after him as he bolts down the twisting hallways for his brothers, needing to find them and make sure they are safe or as safe as they can be with danger upon them. His heartbeat pounds against his eardrums as he looks around in fear, his feet moving him swiftly around corners. Only when he saw Taehyung running into a room did he finally slow down a bit to not run into a wall, he enters the room before letting go and let himself pant. All his brothers were there, Jimin quickly shuts and locks the door then closes the shutters on the window.

Hoseok pulls Jungkook into a hug, relieved that he made it. "Did you see them?" Hoseok whispers as he pulls him to the furthest wall from the door, holding the boy to help him relax as the others work on the trap door to the tunnel they have made. "Just a glimpse. It looked like some sloth." He replied in a quiet, tired voice. "Yeah but now it is quick." Namjoon murmurs as he fiddles with the lock, cursing the headmaster in his mind.

They all froze when they heard pounding against the door, muffled voices on the other side. Hoseok buries his head into Jungkook's shoulder, afraid to see blood. Jungkook holds his brother, hoping that it helps even the slightest. Seokjin pulls Taehyung slowly, further away from the small light slits on the floor. He didn't know how much others can see from the other side but he didn't want Taehyung seeing them pleading, he knew a few hearts here were too soft to say no.

Namjoon gasps as he stands up, "Hoseok, Jimin, and Jungkook, come here and help me pull this up." He whispers as he gets behind the door and started to pull on one of the handles. The other three quickly follow suit and help lift the door as Yoongi and Seokjin set the latches, once it was set the all started to get into the dark tunnel. Seokjin being the last so he could give them flashlights, candles, lanterns, anything to help provide light in the old tunnel shaft.

Seokjin carefully went down the ladder a few steps before undoing the latches with one hand and trying his best to hold it up with the other, quickly placing his other hand underneath it to lessen the noise it makes. The oldest let out a shaky breath as he turns up his lantern so he could lock the door from the inside, not wanting anyone or anything to get in too easily. When his feet set firmly on the dirt, he lifts his lantern to get a better look at his younger brothers.

"Okay as can be so far?" He asks softly as his eyes filled with worry, "Yes, now let us be quick." Namjoon answers as everyone nodded. Not wanting to speak too much until they are out, "A mile before we exit, should be our suits for the outside." Namjoon speaks up as they started to head down the tunnel in a single file line. "There are seven hunting knives, three bows with arrows, and four blunt weapons." Jimin whispers as he keeps his flashlight off along with four others. Seokjin and Namjoon only had their lanterns on, Seokjin stood at the back and Namjoon was at the front. If their lighting went out they could change with another since it was going to be a two hour and twenty-minute walk, they would stop along the way to make sure they didn't get too tired.

After some time has passed, they finally found the storage area that was carved out of the tunnel's walls, waiting for them. Jungkook switched on the few lanterns that hung from the ceiling and turned off his flashlight, he sat down on a bench to relax along with the others. Seokjin opened up the food chest, giving them nutrition bars and water bottles. It didn't taste good but sometimes something good for you doesn't always tastes swell. Seokjin sat down on the beaten couch beside Yoongi, lazily eating the soft bar. Everyone content with the mostly silence among them, the flames from the lanterns lighting up everything around them quite well as they finally get up to get ready to leave for the twenty more minutes walk to the outside.

Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jungkook all got bows as the others got the blunt weapons. They put on the flexible, slim suits for the outside. They looked at each other, they felt like the scientist they saw when they were younger. They all took the lanterns and started to head the last mile out of the tunnel, all mentally preparing themselves of what to see. Would it been burned down? Would it be a wasteland or desert? Would it just be the same but with more growth? They didn't know what to be ready for but some hope that nothing really changed and it was all a false alarm. It was hard to hope for that seeing what they all saw back there but they hoped nonetheless.

The wooden door was stuck but Jungkook was able to break it down along with Jimin's help. The boys slowly walked out cautiously out into the open, they were mesmerized by what they saw. Nature looked so much better than what they saw on the walls. Jungkook looked at how far the tree went up, none of the branches were low enough to grab. They looked to be up by three times his own height. The leaves look like they were as big as his hands, they were shades of oranges and yellows. Maybe it was autumn or it was just how they were.

"Jungkook," Jimin calls, "Come on, we must find shelter." He watches as the youngest quickly follows his brothers. Following down a barely visible path of stone and peddles, it was enough to be followed. "I really don't think we need these masks." He whispers as he looks over at Jimin, "But I think at the same time we do." He looks around at some of the odd plants grouped up around some of the tree roots. Some plants giving off visible odors, others not. He didn't want to risk breathing in poisons or something that will knock his ass out. "Yeah, I don't want to touch anything around here either." Jimin mumbles as he steps onto a street, his eyes looking around him. A car broken down, rusted all to hell with a tree and other plants growing in it or around it. The street was crumbled, cracked, and beaten down but still showing where to go.

Namjoon groans as he looks around them, "Lets head away from the car." He says as he sees more plants that look deadly further past the vehicle. He pulls himself together and started to head the opposite direction of the more dangerous path, the shuffling feet behind him quickly follows as he tries to think about what they will do if they get hungry. They can't juggle their life, they can't assume what is safe and not safe to eat. He didn't want to lose his family to this world, he wanted to go back to the den. Wanting to see if they can repair everything and stay safe in the metal walls but he knew they couldn't. He shakes his head as he keeps pulling forward, after some time he sees a sign. The sign stood tall and long, a map indent into it. Names over some stars that look like they are settlements. "This street leads to one of them but it might take a day or two." Namjoon says as he looks over at the other boys, they seem to be thinking about what to do.

"We might as well see, if they are willing to take us then we have a chance to survive in this mess." Seokjin speaks up but Taehyung seems to disagree, "What if they kill us or enslave us? Are we really going to take the risk?" He asks as Seokjin shakes his head. "Let's go. It is better than starving to death or dying to something we don't know." Yoongi speaks up as he rubs Taehyung's back, "We can even scout it out a bit if that makes you happy." He says as he pulls him into a hug to help the younger. Jimin and Jungkook agree with Yoongi as they look around them on edge, "Let us go see what-" Hoseok looks closer at the rusty metal map, "Angel Stone has to offer." He smiles at them as he starts heading off. "This way, Hoseok." Namjoon calls as the group heads the correct direction. "Pfft, I knew that." He laughs as he catches up with them.

Seokjin looks around him, he never expected to see some of the stuff. His ancestors, books, and headmasters could never prepare him for this. He was expecting cities, towns, cars, but it seems almost five hundred years changed since they last stepped outside since Mother Nature's rage against humanity. Seokjin looks over towards his brothers, they were tired but also not wanting to be out in the open. They all felt vulnerable, they all wanted to go back to the metal den they called home but it wasn't a choice. Not when the monsters came in through the walls, not when they started to attack the humans and destroying everything. He hopes they find shelter soon because he doesn't know how much longer his feet could carry him.

Yukina holds Minho's hand as they stood on Woojun's porch, they were waiting for Irina. Yukina had to go take Crackers, Minho's duck, to the vet to get it checked out and make sure it is healthy. Minho has been waiting to go to the park to play in the rain, he wanted to test out his hot pink rain clothes. He had a rain hat, coat, pants, and boots. Woojun bought it for him after whining for an hour about it, Minho was determined to get the hot pink. Minho wouldn't stop talking about it for a week until it finally started to rain.

Irina smiles as she shuts the door behind her and takes his small hand, kiss Yukina's cheek. "I got him, take Crackers to the special doctor." She whispers as she walks down the steps with the boy and head to the park that was across the street from the elementary school. Yukina gives a small wave when she passes them and turning down to the main street, Minho keeps waving until he couldn't see his mother. Minho looks up at her and gasps, "Your hair looks green!" He shouts as he tilts his body back and forth. Irina's hair transferring between green and red as he does, he was in amazement as the Ulit laughs.

Their hands part to allow them to go different ways. Minho quickly to go joins a group of kids, Irina takes a seat at a picnic table that was under a covering. Greeting herself to a mother that also sat beside her, hitting it off well. Minho laughs as he jumps into rain puddles and mud puddles, a girl copies him and laughs together. The rain was light and warm due to it being summer, a small breeze helps them keep cool. Minho laughs when the girl jumped too hard and made a big splash, the mud getting into her baby blue rain boots, she frowns as her shoulders slump.

"Hey! It is okay! We can switch!" Minho says as he pulls her over to a water puddle, he helps her sit down and he took off her boots. He helped clean her feet and boots before giving his boots to her, he puts her boots on and helps her up. Minho gasps when he felt hands push into his back and he fell hard into the concrete in front of him. "Pink isn't for boys!" A bigger kid laughs as he pushes the girl into the puddle they were using, "You like her?" He asks as he points at her teary face. Minho glares as he stands up, "Pink is just a color!" Minho shouts as he stands in front of the girl, "And her name is Lilo, she is my friend." He stares up at the bully that was a head bigger than him.

The laughter dies as the bully looks down at the boy in hot pink, "I saw you come here with that alien, you must be a beacon for weirdos." He snorts and his two friends copy him. "They aren't weird! Irina is awesome and Lilo is fun!" He was getting angry, he knows he needs to get an adult but worry about Lilo. She was crying and seem in more pain, more than his scratches. "It is an alien. She is probably too." The boy bares his teeth as he points at the crying girl, "They don't belong here. They don't belong anywhere." The boy and his friends were getting angry.

A scream erupts the peaceful air in the boy, Minho pushes the bully as hard as he could into a mud puddle. The puddle was deep and mud coat the other boys, the scream came from the main bully. Minho turns around and lifts the girl to her feet but she cries more when she tries, "Mommy!" Minho screams as he turns to see Irina running towards them with a panicked look with a few people follow. "What happened, baby?" Irina's voice is filled with worry as she sees him with scratches and the girl crying, "Lilo is hurt!" His eyes fill with tears as his friend keeps crying. He felt helpless, Minho want to take her pain away but also didn't know what is wrong. A mother and father are around the girl, Minho moves out of the way as the father picks her up and walks away with a worried mother trailing behind.

Minho holds Irina's hand quietly as they head back to Woojun's place, he was far too upset to talk. Irina unlocks the door and sets him on a small bench, helping him talk off his coat and hat. Irina tilts her head in confusion when she sees he has muddy baby blue rain boots instead of hot pink, "Baby, were is your boots?" Irina asks as she looks up at him. "They are on my feet." He mutters distantly, Minho was still upset about the part. "Minho, your boots are hot pink. Not baby blue, these aren't yours." She whispers softly as she plays his with his messy hair, "Oh." He looks up at her. "Lilo's boots, I traded her with mine because hers were too dirty." He explains as Irina starts to take them off, "but now, Lilo is very hurt." His shoulders sag as he looks away again.

Mud cover his feet and legs as he was set into the tub, Irina taking the shower head and carefully changing the temperature. "What happened, Minho?" Irina asks again as she starts to clean off his muddy body, "How did you and she get hurt?" She washes the mud down the drain before turning off the shower and starting to make a bath. "A bully pushed me and her." He mutters, "I pushed back." Irina snaps her head up from getting bubbles in shock. "Minho, why?" She asks but her tone was high due to the shock. "Because he was mean. He did mean things and said mean things." Minho's brows furrow, he was angry that the bully can be so mean to the people he loved.

"It doesn't mean you push them into the mud, that is mean too." Irina says, softly as she watches the boy look up at her with confidence. "Mean people deserve to be pushed into muddy puddles." He said like it was the only option, "He was mean to Lilo, me and you. He was going to keep being mean until someone did something." He nods his head strongly as he watches Irina smile as she pours in some fruity bubble soap. "I am someone that did something. Maybe he learned something," Minho says as he pushes the water around to start making bubbles, "What is he supposed to learn?" Irina said with adoration, "That no matter who you are, you are a being. You feel, you eat, you drink, and you understand. You are like us. You deserve to be treated nicely." Minho says as he blows some bubbles at her, "You are learning too, Minho. Woojun has been teaching you a lot." Irina smiles as she starts to get the boy clean.

CHAPTER EIGHT: EARTH

O KIM NAMJOON STARRING AS CHOI WOOJUN

O GREEN VIRIDIANA STARRING AS IRINA

Saforion gasps as her lilac-colored eyes finally land on Earth, through a spaceship's window and not through a scope at home. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Irina speaks softly as she watches the skies twist and turn, "It is more lovely when you on it." Irina looks at the older alpha with a smile as the female Ulit looks at her. "It is quite a sight but we can't land on Earth just yet." Saforion states as she spots a few earth ships, turning their ship sideways to prevent moving forward, "We will have to adapt to their cycle and planets, we will stay here to keep out of the humans' sights." The younger alpha nods as her nimble fingers dance across the different power and control boards. "I set it to move around the earth to its rotation speed." Irina says after some time, "I also changed our system to match Earth's, we will feel heavier and more tired but we should get used to it after a few months." Irina looks over at Saforion and smiles before getting up out of her seat after she activates it.

The older alpha follows the smaller Ulit out of the pilot room, they track their way down the floor to the relaxation room where most of their people are. "Before anyone asks questions, listen to me first." The eldest alpha speaks up before anyone else could get a word in, "We have finally made it to Drawf Marble also known as Earth, we will not be landing yet. We need to get used to their climate conditions so for a few years or until we run out of supplies then we will go to Earth." Saforion lets her hand down to allow the other alphas to speak. "What if humans are hostile?" A bird Ulit asks as he sits at a large table cleaning his feathers, "Not all of us are hostile but there will be ones that are." Woojun speaks up as he walks up behind Irina before wrapping his arms around her. "Okay, if they attack? Where do we go?" A lizard Ulit speaks up as worry shakes her form, "I don't want to die." Her voice falls quiet as tears start to build. "There WILL be people willing to protect us, to fight for us." Irina answers as she looks over her shoulder at Woojun, "If Woojun was willing too then more are as well." She looks back over to the lizard but fear still has her.

Four hours of this went on before the Ulit passengers settled down and finally decided that the Eldest knows best, The youngest had experience on the planet so they would learn from her. Irina and Woojun helped the Ulits adjust to Earth living conditions, all Ulits found stuff that was easy and difficult for them. Irina taught them about plants, Woojun taught them the differences in Gardening and farming. Saforion worked on the ship and made anything they needed, she turned one of the rooms into a green room for plants that they grew.

Eldest alpha watches her people with a fond smile, watching them live and grew on the ship. She almost didn't want to leave the ship, it was peaceful with young Ulits running and learning. Irina and Woojun tried to contact Earth to help ease in the humans but there was no success. Saforion refuses to move the ship closer to Earth, she will not risk her people's lives until they need to have an emergency landing. She knows Woojun but she doesn't know Earth, for all she knows they could get killed or captured and she will be damned if that happens. She had to sacrifice so much to save what is left of her kind when all she wanted to do was hold her wife and son close, hold them until the last minute but she couldn't.

Saforion pulls herself away from the group to the pilot room to check on everything, she needed some space as well. As she seated herself and looked at there supplies, the food was enough, the water was borderline of running out and electric was in the red. They needed to go to Earth but her stomach flipped at the thought of that, coming unannounced could result in a war that they were not prepared for. She lends back in her seat and her elbow place on the armrest as her hand held up her head, her eyes trained on Earth as scenarios run through her head. The ship was a temporary plan until they found somewhere to live, they were passed the expired date. Roughly twenty years in Earth time, Fifty-seven years in Terlavian. They ship was to only last Fifty years only but they made it stretch as long as possible, now there is no more stalling.

Irina gasps as her and the passengers tumble over by the sudden movement of the ship, she scrambled to her feet and start to run down the hall to the pilot pit. She pulls on the door but the door stayed sealed. "Saforion! What are you doing?" Irina shouts as she sees looks around for the emergency key to the room, the glass box that held the key was open. Saforion took it with her to prevent Irina or anyone to enter, "Saforion!" She screams out to her in hopes she will answer. The passengers' voices raise in panic, drifting and echoing off the walls. The emergency lights switch on flashing yellow, they were on the borderline of being on a low for most things. The intercoms switch on, static sound through for a few seconds before Saforion's soft and calm voice drifts through.

"Attention all passengers, please take your seats and belt up." Saforion's voice commands sweetly, "We are having an emergency landing but it will be fine. Please stay seated until we have landed." The intercoms turn off after a few seconds of static. Everyone hurried to the landing seats and belted up, the lights turn orange when they are all seated. Irina could hear the back of the ship disconnecting itself, the doors of the landing room seal themselves shut when more of the ship disconnects for fuel and power. Woojun wraps his hands into Irina, fear pulses in him as he watches the windows closed and the ship starts to shake. The lights start flashing red, everyone is waiting for them to go black as they struggle to not to be thrown around in their seats so much.

The static of the intercom returns as the lights turn off, "I am so sorry," her voice barely audible through the speakers, "I love you all." Irina pulls Woojun to her as close as possible as she starts to feel the full force of Earth's merciless gravity bring them down full speed. The Ulits chant to some hope they will survive, to some hope they will be protected after all these years. Some yell to their higher belief as others yell out apologizes or 'love you's. Irina kisses Woojun, fearing this might be the last they will ever be alive again.

CHAPTER 7: HOME

+KIM NAMJOON STARRING AS CHOI WOOJUN

+GREEN VIRIDIANA STARRING AS IRINA

A groan leaves Woojun as Irina falls on top of him as he hit a hard surface, Woojun opens one eye as he looks around some. "Irina-" He starts as they slowly got up from the ground, "Where are we?" He asks as he watches beings that look nothing like humans running around in fear. "We are on my planet, Terlavian." She whispers as she watches familiar faces run pass her screaming nonsense, her hand wraps itself in Woojun's and start to pull him with her. The cold weather seeping into their lazy articles of clothing, "Where are we going?" Woojun asks as he tries to keep calm as he looks up in the sky to see what seems like planets falling apart before him. "We are going to my friend's job, somethings wrong." She whispers as she starts to pick up speed when she hears eruptions of screams around them, fear pulsing through her as she thinks about how much time has passed.

Shoving the door of the space force building open to see her best friend working on the spaceship, "Hawtin, what is happening?" She asks as she watches him turn around in shock. "Irina? How are you here?" He asks in disbelief as his eyes trail to Woojun's frighten face, "I don't know but answer me, will ya!" She huffs in anger when she didn't get any answers. "What is happening to Terlavian?" The Female Ulit demands as she asks her friend, Hawtin shakes his head and turns back to the flying vehicle. "The dwarf planets has hit a wave in our solar system, our planet is soon not going to be liveable anymore. We are taking all alphas and leaving." Hawtin answers as he starts to put in the last string of codes, "But there are only about 40ish alphas, what about the ferals or the children?" Irina asks as she feels Woojun's hand tightens in hers. "There is no point in fighting now, we have an hour. We will take about all of this later, go to the ship." Hawtin says as he starts up the ship, "Hawtin-" Irina is cut off when the male alpha turns to her. "Go, Irina, now!" He shouts as he turns back to the controls.

Irina's heart sunk as Woojun pulls on her hand, she looks over her shoulder to Woojun but past him through the window, she sees the chaos. She pulls Woojun pass the bay doors and down the hall, running for their lives. She pushes into the connected hall and enters the spaceship, Ulits look their way but there is about only 20 of them. 20 scared and confused, Alpha Ulits that are leaning on each other crying or begging to some high power to save their planet. Irina looks behind her to see the doors shut, her heart stops. She should have known her best friend wasn't getting on and she will be alone to drive them to safety, how she hates their species. Ready to do the job even if it means risking their own, Irina pulls her hand out of Woojun and heads to the pilot pit.

Taking a deep breath as she sees head pilot Saforion, "Where are we going?" Irina asks as she shuts the door knowing she will take care of Woojun when they get out of oncoming danger. "Dwarf Marble." The Rough-skinned Female Alpha answers as she starts to pull the ship out of the holding room and turns the galaxy, Irina gets herself set into the seat and helps keep the ship steady. "I was there." She whispers as they pierce through their force field for their planet, "It is called Earth and the species are called humans." She says as Saforion looks over towards her with lilac-colored eyes, "Is that where you disappeared off to?" She states but forms it into a question at the end as she looks back into the vast openness. "Yeah." Irina whispers as the Ulit beside her hums in acknowledgment, "How was it?" The older female asks as she speeds up the ship to get out of the tidal space waves. "It's quite lovely, I met so many people but there is one little boy that'll capture your heart. He is just so sweet." Irina's voice wobbles as she thinks about Minho, sadness tugs on her heart of how the universe ripped her away from Earth.

"How 'bout the man you brought abroad?" Saforion asks as her long boney fingers move across the switchboard, "That is Woojun, I meant him first. I actually appeared in his kitchen when I saw him, he was so sweet to me and still is. He didn't freak out or try and hurt me." Irina explains as her eyes glance up to the monitors for the passengers, "He let me stay in his home and I fell in love with him but I got so scared." She looks over at the peach-skinned Ulit. "Why?" Saforion asks, "If you fell in love, why did you become scared?" Irina looks back at the galaxy before them. "I don't know, maybe because we were so different from each other and I started having feelings for another. A woman called Yukina who broke my heart, Woojun repaired it." Irina answers as she looks down at her cinnamon-colored fingers that wrapped themselves around the fork-like control.

"And the boy?" The woman asks after an hour passed in comfortable silence, Irina looks over at the older. "Minho met me on my first day there, so caring and funny. He was happy to see someone like me and that day on he taught me so much." She says as she looks in front of her, "He taught me that you need to appreciate people around you, how to stand up and protect, how to forgive when it feels so impossible, and I am still learning so much." She whispers as tears pull onto her eyelids. Her throat felt tight as she wishes she could pull the boy into her arms and whispers apologizes of leaving so soon or watch him take Crackers on walks and swims. "It sounds like you have a family on Earth, unlike your home." Saforion states as she relaxes in her seat when they finally pass their solar belt, "Once I left Terlavian, home here was no more." Irina replies as she sets the ship in self pilot mode with a destination.

Irina looks up at the bigger alpha, "Home became early mornings with Minho on my porch holding Tulips, Late group lunches with my human friends, and Woojun holding me in bed as we talk about our day. Home became people, I learn home isn't a place but someone." Irina smiles as she talks about it. A light in her eyes as she explains what home is to the older alpha that kept an open mind for her, listening carefully and thoughtfully as she watches Irina gesture her hands around. A habit that she probably got from Earth but it was cute, Saforion looks at the monitors before looking at Irina again. "Go check on Woojun and the others, I will keep the ship in check and we will switch." Saforion offers and Irina didn't need to be told twice as she gets up and exiting the room with a quick 'thank you' as she shuts the door.

The red-haired Alpha moves around checking on her passengers that were finishing up on cleaning the ship before finding Woojun standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee with a disgusted face, Woojun looks up at Irina and holds up his cup. "Your coffee is not great." He says as he hands it to Irina, she takes a sip and makes the same face. "It is black coffee, of course, it doesn't taste great." She laughs as she pours it down the drain and grabs him something easier to drink, "Let me show you the room we will be sleeping in and explain what is going on." Irina says as she takes him out of the kitchen feeling happier even with the lingering sadness.
