Since 2012, I've worked for Milano's. With everything I've experienced with them, nothing has excited me more than the opportunity to manage at the UD location. Milano's on Brown St. is more than ready for these UD students. We've got big things in store for this school year. Let's party.
Milano’s Gourmet Pizza - South St. in Morristown, NJ
Now that I’m in Morristown 5 days a week, I've already checked out a couple spots with Pomodoro's being my favorite so far. Today I got out a little early and stopped over at Milano's Gourmet Pizza. For a place with such a fancy name and chic storefront, Milano's was pretty small and cluttered inside. There wasn't much room to sit and the tables were packed tight. I must have gotten there between the lunch and dinner rush though, because it was empty. They have a pretty sweet combo deal where you essentially get a free soda when you get two slices, but I wasn't hungry enough for that much za, so I went with a "gourmet" slice for a hefty $3.75.
When I was looking up Milano's online, I saw a review stating that they had the "best buffalo chicken ever" so naturally, I had to try it. Thought it wasn't the bestever, it was pretty damn good. There was an excellent ratio of toppings, with a perfect blend of chicken, bleu cheese, and mozzarella. On top of the spot on ratio, they all had a great flavor to them. The bleu cheese was very smooth and didn't have that overbearing soury taste it sometimes has, specifically when it's the crumbly type. And while the buffalo chicken was hardly spicy at all, the sauce they used was enjoyable, having what tasted like a hint of barbecue to it. The crust was also great. It was thin with only a little bit of crunch to it, but was moist and held the slice together well.
Milano's definitely has one of the better slices of pizza I've tried in the area. A lot of places don't know how to put together a halfway decent buffalo slice, so when a place gets it right like this you take notice. The number one thing that makes me hesitant to stop back in is the high price tag. $3.75 is a lot for a slice, especially when it's a little on the small side like this one. I've gotten bigger slices for $3. If you’re a buffalo chicken connoisseur though, check it out.

Mariah Milano's Succulent Spinach Strawberry Salad
Just had a killer performance review. Met expectations in 2 fields, exceeded expectations in the remaining 8, got a raise & was reminded that I'm up for advancement literally whenever I want. I love my job!
NSO is amazing. But I have no voice, I don't get to see my family, I'm always tired, I'm missing school and I'm working a 90 hour week. On the plus side, I'm loving the girls I'm staying with, I just got a mini promotion, drinks every night feels like vacation and my crew is kicking ass. The ups and downs are crazy but I'm glad I had this opportunity.
