Next week (03/05/15), Video Jam returns to Sounds from the Other City - an eclectic festival of new music like none other which takes over the streets, cafes, pubs and churches of Salford every year. Casting my mind back to our debut this time last year, I was swiftly reminded of Miles Halpin’s highly inventive score for Cote D’Azur by Caroline Ward, which featured a bicycle xylophone and bicycle pump pipe. A true Video Jam gem.

farmers shoot crows. this one fell into beauty. its pattern reminded me of a boomerang. crows feathers have all sorts of colours in them; i fooled around in photoshop to give it a more fitting funeral plumage.

i like crows a lot... substantially more so than i like farmers with guns.

abandoned quarry nearby allows all sorts of opportunities... my favourite are the old conveyor belts; worn, dusty, vulcanised... and in this case stained and patterned with all three. if i could paint, i'd paint things like this... except this 'canvas' was about 20metres long!
