AU where Shadow goes to capture Starline instead and less bad things happen to Surge and Kit
then Surge and Kit cling to him like an older brother
I do feel like the idw original characters like tangle whisper dr starline etc are, in the context of the comics, a bit more interesting than the actual main series sonic characters as they're presented in there. I feel like you see more of the passion of the creative team in those characters than you see in sonic or tails. Part of it obviously is for meta reasons--i don't buy that anythings seriously gonna happen to shadow or Eggman cause sonic team needs them for future videogames, but can tangle beat mimic on her own? There's some suspense there; I wanna see what happens! It just makes for a stronger story imo

Starline is one those characters that deserves more screentime because he was the one started the IDW storyline especially when everything have been peaceful until Starline kidnapped Mr. Tinker. The one incident that started it all.
There are somethings I wonder about who and why Starline is way he is before his debut. We already have an explanation on why Eggman is the way he is but never Starline. He is a character that needs a backstory why he is willing to do any risks for his motivation.
Eggman is a problem to the heroes but throughout IDW, Starline messes with everyone.
If he is the mysterious villain, he is basically screwing Sage, Metal Sonic, and so many more.
PLEASE CAN WE AT LEAST GET A BACKSTORY????? CMON
Did you guys know theres a panel in which Starline has the warp topaz but its missing the spiral pattern. the Topaz it famously does nothing but Starline just really likes rocks. He's really normal about it
