"Watch Trucy for me, alright Athena?" Phoenix smiled as he gave his daughter a quick peck on the cheek. "Call me if you need anything, Truce. Don't make the dorm security come up because you're doing an exploding glitter trick, okay? I don't want to be called because they heard something explode, and thought you were conspiring to blow up the academy." He turned away from the girls' dorm and waved as he walked away.
(Can't believe I just lied to them. Well, I suppose Trucy knows and will tell Athena all about it,) he sighed to himself as he walked to the the entrance of the school.
Phoenix sat quietly on a bench, though his heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest. He was so excited for events about to come, he couldn't believe it was even happening.
And then, the person he was waiting for came. With a snap of his finger and a cheesy wink, he gave the other a big grin. "Hey, Edgeworth," he snickered, "I can't believe I beat you. For once, I'm early."
