One Final Song.

So here we are, folks. The final curtain call.

Watching One Final Song on a November weekend got me into Brawl in the Family, and now I will end my journey with it in July, almost 2 years later.

This is just beautiful, man. I almost don't know what to say (guess I've got no jokes left to tell too). The inclusions of so many previous comics (some of which are even voiced) and even bits from previous songs all coming back for a final overture, it's incredible.

Well, folks, I guess that's it. My next post will be a more detailed look into my history with this comic, and a form of farewell to wrap things up.

Sit Back and Relax for Comic 400

First of all, this is my favorite comic in all of BitF, and based on this note from Matthew, he seems to agree:

The song is jaunty, the video effects are great, some of the gags in the images are really funny, and overall, it's just great, man. I wish I could write more about this, but it's perfection is simple.

Plumber's Best Friend

Notes:

This is arguably the last milestone comic, and it's heart-wrenching. This takes all of the bad "Mario sacrificing Yoshi for an extra jump" jokes, and makes a good one out of them. Especially hits me right in the feels at this point in my life.

Prodigial Robot

This comic was made to finally celebrate both 500 comics and Mega Man (Taranto's favorite non-Nintendo character, who had already gotten comics before) joining Smash.

It is incredible.

And sadly, Legends 3 never happened

If It Takes A Lifetime

Some Notes:

First of all, this is the first BitF comic to exclusively be a Youtube video. That's big.

Second of all, the piano in this is great.

Third, I love how this serves as an inverse to The Captive Princess.

Fourth, this actually makes a later comic's joke much darker.

A Simple Request

Comic 100 is a great mini-story. Comic 200 is an all-original song. Comic 400 is another original song and my favorite comic of them all. Comic 500 is a Mega Man Medley. And Comic 600 is a grand finale to cap it all off.

Comic 300, the halfway point of this entire strip, on the completely other hand...

is a parody of All I Want For Christmas Is You with Ganondorf singing about the Triforce.

And it is incredible.

I love every single joke in it. It sticks in my head way more than the original song

But it's somehow not as good as Carol of the WAA. I mean, you can't beat WALUIGI!
