Awesome points here. The "It's been too long/Miss you" doesn't make sense for me in the context of E because I don't think that much time has elapsed. Babies change *fast* and they're using the same or similarly aged babies at least from the diaper changing scene (pre-bus) to Molly at the door (obviously post-bus).
Absolutely. That’s because the baby can’t have aged more than a month or two that I think there was not a lot of time between the meeting in the bus and the night time texts - my opinion would be different if the night time texts came somewhen after Mary’s travels (which can easily take a few months).
I get that “miss you” can be said by an enamoured person even after a day of separation, but the “it’s been too long” makes it very unlikely in this context.
Honestly, I can think of it also as a separation of a few days/weeks only, after all the perception of time is very different from actual duration, and the person can feel as if a couple weeks is a long time.
But I don’t know, there’s something unlikely in it.
This doubt is interesting, as I said in my post, everything suggests there’s an attachment from the other person’s part, and at the same time, it seems to go too fast and to be too emotional/romantic to be a relationship started a couple weeks ago (though it’s not an impossible thing).
There’s also the possibility that this person is faking this attachment. And that’d be relevant if the person who sent these texts is really E. aka Culverton Smith’s daughter. I said it before, I can feel something is out of place with her, I don’t trust her, that feeling comes mostly from the fact I know she’s linked to Smith and will later come to Sherlock to ask for help. And so I think she may hide her game, and for now, seducing John with a purpose. In that case faking this “miss you” feeling of a demanding and loving partner can be totally independent of the time that passed since they met.
And I’ll add that the person sending those texts is paralleled with an owl and a vampire, one is a predator and the other is sucking life out of people.
To make it short: there is three possibilities: it’s not E, E fell in love with John (rather quickly), or this is a manipulation.
