Thrift stores make dreams come true, at least for me!
I had been keeping an eye out for a vase like the left photo for quite some time and found this one while thrifting with my momma, she gifted it to be for my birthday!
Looks perfect on my vanity 💕
i still regret not getting this
Disclaimer: Not every haul is haunted, the title is just meant to be catchy! Always remember to cleanse every object you bring into your house/space.
Haunted Haul #1 (November 25th, 2025):
Today, I was lucky enough to visit the local Savers! I was able to get a few good deals, but it was so busy I couldn't stay for long. Plus, the linen section made me so unable to breathe XD
To begin the haul for today, I purchased this (most likely Catholic) crucifix, which is a depiction of Jesus Christ's crucifixion. This is my second one of this exact style, as I've been drawn to crosses for a while now. For this I paid $5.99 (before tax).
Inside are a few items which are needed to perform the "Last Rites" ritual. In this case, it includes two white candles, a small empty bottle, a piece of cloth and a piece of cotton. There is also a pamphlet inside, instructing one on what to do when this ritual may be needed, and where to purchase replacement candles.
Next up is this set of deer antlers. It's honestly mildly gruesome to me, and makes me wonder about the ethics behind this piece. I am very respectful of the animal, who probably didn't want this. Personally, I have loved the preservation of dead animals ever since I was a small child. When I saw this piece in the store, I didn't want to leave it behind. I feel like I can approach this with respect and honor. For this, I paid $9.99 (before tax).
This is a close-up of the skull that connects the antlers. The other side is a bit visceral, so I’ll just share this for now. Throughout my research, I've come to believe that this was taken from a Whitetail Deer. (http://naturemappingfoundation.org/natmap/facts/white-tailed_deer_712.html)
Finally, I was very drawn to this bracelet. After a bit of a Google search (and a few seconds of having to ignore the AI overview), I was able to figure out this was most likely St. Anthony, holding the infant Jesus Christ. For this piece, I paid $3.99 (before tax).
On the back, it seems to show a part of a church, with the words “Pray for us” written near the bottom.
Thank you so much for being here and checking out my first-ever haul post! <3
