I so desperately wanted to cosplay this in game for Halloween, but the clock ran out. Dryden and Millerna are my forever favorites. I don't care what the canon is, these guys are besties, super spies and lovers forever! It doesn't hurt that I snagged myself an IRL Dryden. [see below]

Portrait of Princess Millerna Aston from the anime series Vision of Escaflowne. Millerna is one of my favourite characters in this anime because she breaks many stereotypes about “princess” characters. For example, she is devoted to her medical studies and aspires to have a career as a doctor as well as her royal duties. She helps save the lives of her friends and allies on many occasion in the anime using her medical knowledge.

So, the reason behind the dumbrstruck faces of everyone in just about a kilometer radius were the legs pants. Go Millerna!

ミラーナの乗馬姿をたしなめるアレン。実は〝女性は足を見せない〟のがアストリアの常識。つまりミラーナがはいている、足のラインが見え見えのパンツは、はしたないのでした。このパンツは、隣国エグザルディアの最新流行ファッション。ナウかったんですね。

Millerna’s riding pants are reproved by Allen. In fact, Asturian etiquette says „ladies do not show their legs.“ In other words, Millerna wearing pants which reveal the line of her legs is improper. These pants are the latest fashion in the neighboring Egzardia; really trendy at the time.
