Randomly thinking about S4Ep19 Jump the Shark.

Kate knew about the life because that's how she met John. John didn't come around that much, but the fact his photo was on her nightstand tells me he visited more than just Adam when he came around.

Everyone but Adam knew about the life. Kate's home could've been a home base. Sam and Dean would have had a 'mother' and a home.

I feel like John missed an opportunity for a blended family.

If anything, Jake did not need anymore drama in his life, he had lived through a years worth of drama in the span of a week, and he was drained, all he wanted was to play some video games, sleep, smoke, and have a good friend to talk to, which he was lucky to have in Tristan, his enemies younger brother, but Tristan was more mature, he had an old soul, and was extremely smart, and Jake and him got along like gasoline on fire.  It was an unlikely friendship but he was thankful for the younger boy.  They had planned to meet up at a local mall, do some shopping, grab lunch, and just genuinely hang out, no drama involved.  Jake was sitting on a bench checking his phone to see where Tristan was, he was kind of excited to hang out with him, outside of a party environment.
