I have been talking. NONSTOP. with @eggseventy about Zeemyth's ROOTHOUSE series. They've been transcribing all the videos over time: I went Past the Farlands, Backroom Shorts, All 3 Test Videos, and as of tonight Weird Door is the latest transcript.

And I am. SO convinced. Roothouse!Zee is some sort of robot who becomes organic through sybiosis with the hhouse. I don't even really know how to organize my thoughts about this and its super late here but I'm gonna try!

In the Weird Door video, he says it's an old world, but it doesn't really obey the rules of Minecraft. And he has a full hunger bar but doesn't heal. He comments on having food, but doesn't ever eat. AND LIKE. IT MAKES SENSE TO ME THAT IF HE WERE A ROBOT, HE WOULDN'T EAT BUT STILL TAKE DAMAGE THAT WON'T HEAL ITSELF.

But when he's in the hhouse, he gets so desperately hungry, but why is that? I think the hhouse is creeping into him, and that hunger isn't his. That's also why, to me, the cycle never fully ends; he carries a part of the hhouse with him when he gets out, and the 100 days video loops in on itself because a part of him is equally stuck in the hhouse as the hhouse is stuck in him. So then, after that, he "feels" hunger and other things that he wouldn't have before.

Which also, I think Roothouse!Zee goes on to become Redacted!Zee directly, like I think it's the same character. His second RSMP video is the one that really cements that for me, because the entity fucking with him just plays him like a fiddle using a lot of the hhouse's techniques. It plays a jukebox outside his base, it takes his dog, etc. All things that parallel moments from the Roothouse stuff in my opinion. And then you end the video and it's like. . . he's trapped in these weird hallways and stuff? So much to unpack. I need to rewatch that video.

I don't think this is canon to clarify I've just been thinking about this nonstop these last few days. An inhuman thing becomes more human, but not without suffering? In my saiintly apocrypha? yeah actually bird found in sky towel found in bathroom water found in ocean.

this is my solution, have a closeup of wifies ^-^ mostly so you can see that i stole your earring headcanon (it’s actually one of my favorite things ever)

and also so i can be not normal a little about my idea of wifies’ eyes having the stars + moon in them because it will never leave my brain again :3 he is moon symbolism forever to me and it’s mostly because of widen by one and then this specific representation of that is from his eyes being Weird and purple in atitk, just. HIIIIIIIIII I loved writing that line so much !!! Wifies who has learned from Parrot to sing in the sky, and now there is no Parrot to harmonize with..................

For ch8 specifically I wanted to bring some threads together. Throughout the fic, we experience these anomalies that Wifies notes (and some that he doesn't!) and while I didn't want to resolve all of them in one fic, I did want to show that they were being addressed.

I also wanted to talk a little about the in between of the Greatest Secret and the jailbreak (which will continue!) because we get no indication of how Wifies feels or how it goes for him in Parrot's videos. So I ended up writing The Sky!

I also had a scene in my head that I wanted to use as well, which is the part of Wifies learning he can cry. While he's in UU, aside from the anomalies, he doesn't ever really acknowledge any of his "modified" traits (except for ch4 where he mentions not being able to scream) because he feels normal-ish, but when he's back in the factory, he goes back to acknowledging his true nature. So the reveal that he can cry, but only kinda, felt like an important turning point in his thinking if that makes sense?

It's like. . . every chapter has a specific goal. I need to achieve something in each chapter by the end. So for ch8 the goals were: show Wifies's feelings about the chunkban, and set up the future resolutions to the anomalous happenings Wifies experienced on UU. And that's how I ended up threading it together into a complete piece of writing.

ok hi milo here i need more space to ramble about that star thing because- he’s not correct !! there are two stars that are touching, there’s like, this whole thing that I think happened recently where they got patched out as if it was a bug and then effectively un-fixed because of another later change

i don’t know if this was an intentional misleading thing by wifies but either way i am Not Okay about that

something about wato not really being alone, no matter how much she thinks she is, something about ‘wifies’ revealing a bit that he isn’t really there, something about him being wrong that his absence means wato is entirely isolated because they aren’t, they thank ken and wifies at the very end of it all, which means their being there, even as a falsehood, meant something

the star things!!!!! I think there's 2 ways about it: one, this was filmed before they put the stars back together, so it would've been factually correct at the time but has since become untrue (a beautiful metaphor on how no separation is forever, if you'd like to look at it that way) OR two, it was a statement purposefully said incorrectly to reflect how upset and lonely wato felt. that even though the factual truth of the world is that wato wouldn't have to be alone, that she would be reunited with someone, or that in the end ken was still on the server and wato could've messaged and found them at any point, she was still so lonely that the truth couldn't break through. it works as a hint that wifies wasn't there at all too, that no star is "touching" b/c he's not really there.

or three he just straight up remembered the fun fact wrong LOL but I like option two more
