Milry, a character made by @belderchal !!! I love insane characters.
Made a set of Chibis! Out of the 8 characters from their story, I only had 4 chibis so I wanted to make the other 4. The old ones are very outdated so I might as well re-do them too
OC-Tober 14: Milry
Milry’s mind is constantly overwhelmed by painful thoughts and hallucinations. He suppresses his personality and turns his mind off to cope with this, so he’s never given an opportunity to develop as a person. His ability is dangerous if he loses his temper, so everyone tries not to upset him. Maybe one day, he’ll be free from his curse.
Milry!
Pronouns: He/Him Likes: Dissociating, Getting what he wants, Displaying their superiority Dislikes: The overwhelming noise in their mind, Being mentally present, Mature tasting foods Attack Ability: Infinite Charge Support Ability: Thought transfer
Milry
Milry, the Burdened Captive
Milry may seem airheaded and confused, but that’s only due to his condition. His mind is incredibly loud; he can’t escape the rapid and overwhelming painful thoughts and hallucinations. It’s so intense that his personality is suppressed, replaced by an autopilot of sorts. He’ll bump into furniture and get bruises pretty often, almost like he's intoxicated.
Milry is able to do basic tasks, but anything that takes finesse shouldn’t be left to him. His buried true personality only awakens when someone upsets him enough to snap him out of his autopilot; but this results in him entering a panic and using his ability on anyone nearby. He demands simple things occasionally, and if he doesn’t get what he wants, his persistence will upset him to the point he awakens.
Milry’s ability is a selfish one; He forces his mental noise out and into the minds of others. This has drastic effects on those afflicted by it, the madness overtakes them and they’re essentially rendered helpless. This ability is limited by the amount of noise in his head though, so across multiple targets it’s less effective. Focusing all of it into one target will render even the strongest minds into a writhing mess. This stunning effect is complemented by his attack ability which slowly charges energy to the point where he can, without doubt, destroy anything within reach.
With the noise temporarily vacating his mind, he achieves a moment of peace. Milry doesn't have these moments often, resulting in a stunted maturity. Being able to think about his situation clearly makes him panic, and it's only ever during some kind of fight, so he can't catch a break.
The others haven't figured out a way to help him yet, but they're always looking for a solution. There have been attempts to speak to Milry when their mind is quiet, but there's never enough time to successfully reason with them. Maybe one day, Milry will be fortunate enough to experience normalcy.
notes: My previous 2 attempts to design Milry were a complete disaster! Thankfully I bounced back today and am quite satisfied with how he turned out. I swear I will write this boy a happy ending, I'd like to see him grow as a character and push through his condition.
