Diary of a military fiancé part 1

I’ve been staying up late at night thinking. Sometimes I think I’m selfish because I just want him all to myself. Now more than ever I can say being a military significant other isn’t what most think. I used to think it was going to be easy and that everyone would say “omg you are dating a man in uniform.” Little do people understand that being with a man in uniform is bittersweet. Yes the love you have for him is so big but being alone isn’t. My fiancé has been gone for almost a week and I feel torn but hey how many of us have gone thru a deployment or days if not weeks with our guys in the field? How many of us having to go thru that while pregnant or thru whatever significant event in our life’s? We should be proud of ourselves for being strong enough to go thru our daily life’s and yet go to sleep alone. It’s normal to feel down but how many of us could actually live without that man that we love? And I mean purely, truly, deeply love?. Stay strong sisters.
