UWM Panthers Win First Game of Season in OT On Tuesday, November 20th, UW-Milwaukee's own Panthers basketball team defeated the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds with a score of 92-87. After starting off their season 0-4, the Panthers snatched up their first win thanks to some late defensive pressure as well as junior Darius Roy, who racked up a game-high and career-high 27 points. Players Carson Warren-Newsome and Wil Sessoms also helped lead the team to their first victory, scoring 21 and 13 points respectively. Head coach Pat Baldwin said despite some adversity throughout the game, "our guys showed a lot of fight and resiliency to come back and pick up this win".
