and then its just. Nico standing behind them ominously, eye twitching, looking like he's about to try destroying Camp Jupiter himself on behalf of this rogue he's never met just purely out of "uncontrollable aura that makes people uncomfortable" solidarity

honestly between Mimi in CJC and the retcons in CoTG trilogy for Percy being denied admission to New Rome University, Camp Jupiter has taken a very bizarre twist from being framed as an accessible haven for disabled teens and adults in HoO to being Camp Blatant Ableism™ in the later companion material.

like. Mimi is exiled entirely for a physical trait she had no control over because the legion decided she was "gross?" Percy is denied admission to college unless he jumps through a ton of hoops and receives documentation from various officials just because, again, functionally just physical traits he has no control over that CJ arbitrarily decided disqualify him? THAT'S ABLEIST DISCRIMINATION!!!!!

Percy should team up with Mimi and both of them destroy Camp Jupiter methinks. or strong-arm them into ADA compliance. one or the other.
