Been a while since I posted, mostly because when I have time to draw I've been spending a lot of that time working on an animation/animatic project that's been a slow burn but will hopefully be good in the end! Here's a little Cave Story doodle in the meantime.

I hit the dreemurr family with the cave storyification beam

Palette 1 is sourced from the plantation mimiga sprite sheet, and palette 2 is sourced from the sheets with all the main characters and mimiga.

Initially i wanted to do the dreemurr family just as regular mimiga, and a lot of that idea still shows through because of how alike they already are. but i decided to keep the dreemurrs pretty on model ultimately, that being their horns and larger size specifically, as the tallest normal mimiga is only 14 pxls if i recall. Still though, i feel like i was pretty faithful to the game's style overall.

I might also do flowey and asgore+toriel's deltarune outfits in the future as I think it'd be fun, maybe.
