Life Update (anxiety, America, vlogs etc) I
Life
2015 has been quite the eye opener. I think I can safely say that I don’t think I am the same person that I was before.. maybe a few months ago but that’s only normal. In comparison to 2 years ago, I am a completely different person. I understand that change is inevitable but I feel that to embrace change is not enough, I believe that you must acknowledge and be mindful of it. Once you acknowledge what you must change or why you are the way you are then only everything will make sense.
I suffered from anxiety for years now but I never knew that it was anxiety. I could never sleep at night but I was wasting my days dead asleep. I was never the kind to make prior plans and stick to them simply because I was nervous about making those plans or taking the time and effort to go through with them. As I grew older, I refused opportunities that came my way with the reason that I was just not meant for it or that someone else could do a better job at it than me. I harboured the burden of anxiety for years and it affected my relationship with friends, family and even past lovers. I was defensive when a problem arose, never admitting that it could ever be my own fault. I lacked motivation and drive, my life never seemed fulfilling. I had everything and yet that was not enough. My anxiety stemmed from a deep rooted problem that I was blinded by. Some days were darker than the rest and it was like a black cloud shrouding my mind infallibly. I felt loneliness that was unnecessary since I was surrounded by so many people that loved me. Long story short, I was a tiny vessel of negativity due to genetic inheritance and it was making my life a living hell. I was putting myself in sheer agony for the actions that I never realized I made. I’m taking charge of my life now and refuse to cause the people that I love the most pain and suffering. Razlan, my sweetheart, if you’re reading this right now which I know you will, I want to thank you for being the most amazing, supportive & incredibly patient partner anyone could have ever asked for. It is a privilege to call you mine and whatever comes our way next, I know that you and I will not falter.
A little PSA for my readers, anxiety is something that is serious and can be hurtful to not only yourself but everyone else around you. Mine transitioned from a mild anxiety disorder to an almost psychological problem which I am thankful that I took the time to seek medical help. You can get through this and don’t worry about admitting that you have a problem, that is where you start your journey to a better you. Just know that I am here for you!
I’m sorry if that was a bit much for some of you to read but I just felt like I needed to let out some steam but let’s get right on to serious business!
I would like to address some things that I am going through at the moment and just thought that since this post is all about sharing, why not let you all know what’s been in my head lately.
YouTube
I won’t be making YouTube tutorials any time soon because I feel that I need more practice being in front of the camera and get myself used to filming. I am familiar with photography, not video filming or editing so this is something that I need to learn from the basics! I don’t want to post content that is mediocre because I know my full potential and it shouldn’t be wasted with videos that were poorly executed just to make my viewers stop asking me for videos, that’s rude! I will resume with posting makeup photos on my instagram and more makeup talks but for now, the videos on YouTube shall be on halt until I am ready to give you all quality content! :)
America + Vlogs
I feel that you all are anticipating my trip to America so I can post vlogs! I’m currently on the look out for compact cameras that I can bring along to shoot videos so I don’t need to lug around my 5d all the time. Do you know any cameras in the market right now? Let me know your suggestions! I will be flying to Boston around March 23rd so I can spend my birthday with Razlan and some friends there which I am soooo excited for. Aside from that, Razlan’s graduation and birthday shall be celebrated there too with family!
Roadtrips
NYC is a definite must in the summer before Razlan and I head back to Malaysia indefinitely. California road tripping is still being discussed but fingers crossed that we manage to stay for at least a week or two. You all are going to love these vlogs and I can already tell I’m going to love making them for you. I know that America isn’t somewhere that many have the opportunity to visit so I would enjoy bringing you around where I go and the sights you see there. Ah, my heart is fluttering from all the adventures I’m thinking of. InsyaAllah they will be realized. I don’t think I have anything else to add so here it is, my loves. Just a little in depth scope of what’s been happening in my life & I’m happy that you’re all here with me as I go through this. So much love coming your way!
Hair Oil FAQ
1) What oils are in the mix?
Organic, refined and cold pressed coconut oil, cold pressed and organic avocado oil and organic safflower oil.
2) How can the hair oil help my hair?
It can aid with various problems. I personally am prone to dandruff and my hair is super dry especially after bleaching them more than 5 times in a year. I will list down the individual benefits of these 3 oils but first I want to let you know that when these oils are combined, it honestly helps with hair growth when massaged into the scalp and also when it is massaged, it reduces any redness on the scalp or dandruff that you may have as coconut oil is known to have antibacterial properties as well. You will see that you hair will grow after using it religiously and because you it is on your scalp where your roots grow, you will experience a decrease in hair fall outs!
3) What are the benefits of each oil?
Here are some sites that may interest you.
Coconut oil: https://www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/oils/coconut-oil-for-hair.html
Avocado oil: http://www.elle.com/beauty/makeup-skin-care/tips/a12951/benefits-of-avocado-oil/
Safflower oil: http://oilypedia.com/benefits-of-safflower-oil-for-hair-why-safflower-oil-wont-let-you-lose-your-hair/
4) How do I use the hair oils?
I recommend leaving it overnight a day before you decide to wash your hair for best results as it can sit in your hair while you sleep. I will start with my ends first because it is the driest there since I've been bleaching it non stop. I take a few drops and make sure it it covered with oil after that I work my way up from the ends. For the scalp, I suggest not to overuse the oil there because it can clog up your scalp. Section your scalp by parting them and then with the long dropper, just run it along the exposed scalp with the oils. Do that until it is oily then proceed to massage it for 5 minutes. Wrap your hair and then leave it till the next morning or until you're ready to wash it off! It doesn't have to be overnight, you can even leave it on for an hour or two but for the absolute best results, I suggest using it overnight.
5) How long can the bottle last me for?
Depending on how often you would like to use it for, it can last you for a very long time. The small bottle can be used for weeks if you use it sparingly. If your hair is long, thick and damaged like my hair, then yes you will need to use more of it.
6) Do you use the hair oils yourself?
I've been using my hair oils since I was 15 years old. At that time, I could never grow my hair past my shoulders and it was frizzy as heck. I was very unhappy at the state of my hair and with puberty on the way, I was depressed with my appearances so I started researching on how to repair my dry hair and make sure that it grows long and luscious. I assure you that my hair oils have been used, tested and loved by me.
7) Price and size of bottle.
The bottle is 10ml and I'm selling it for RM30 + RM6 postage to anywhere in Malaysia. If you are familiar with my hair oils, you will know that it is RM10 extra since I have changed the packaging of the hair oils. I understand many are not too fond of this change but please note that I have already subsidized my hair oils with my pocket money so that you all won't have to pay so much already. The previous bottle was a sample sized plastic bottle so that you can try it out for yourself.
8) What made you decide on making these hair oils?
I made it because when I started dying my hair, everyone who followed me on instagram asked how I managed to keep my hair looking so healthy and luscious even after bleaching it. I even received requests for a sample that they can try which I did! After that, I thought it would be great if I could help my fellow girls who want to have healthier, stronger and thicker hair like mine! I genuinely want to help you with your hair problems so thats why I make my har oils :)
A video on how I apply it will be made soon so stay tuned for that!
