Hi guys,

I decided instead of buying new foundations this month I would revisit some of my favourites. I decided today I would share with you 2 of my favourite matte, full coverage foundations from my collection.

My first matte / full coverage foundation is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation. This has been my holy grail for a long time and one I recommend constantly to everyone who needs a long-wearing foundation. This foundation is a demi-matte , medium to full coverage formula that also has skincare benefits in its formula. Considering it’s a matte foundation it feels so comfortable to wear on your face, it doesn’t feel heavy. I find when I’m wearing matte foundations, if I wear a hydrating primer underneath my foundation wears better and it doesn’t cake my skin either.

My other favourite matte foundation is the Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation. This formula is a game changer for me because usually I wear more radiant, glowy formulas from Nars but when they brought out their matte formula I was so excited to try it out. This foundation has a total matte finish unlike the CT one which is a demi-matte finish. This formula is just as long wearing as the CT one but this one feels even lighter to wear which I really enjoy using in the summer months.

Both of these formulas have their benefits in terms of being matte, full coverage foundations, especially since I have oily combo skin and these types usually last longest on my face. Out of all my luxury foundations these 2 are by far my favourite to use and reach for constantly. If you like luxury brands and need a new foundation I really recommend checking these 2 out.

Today is a Nars Foundation appreciation post. Recently I have been trying to wear foundations that aren't from Rare Beauty or Charlotte Tilbury because I literally wear them all the time and I've ended up discovering new and old favourites. While Nars has a lot of iconic products I think we can all agree they are most known for their foundations. So today we're going to chat about my 3 favourite formulas and fyi I wear the shade OSLO in all versions.

Let's start off with the iconic and most famous foundation from Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, £35.00. This was the foundation was the start of my Nars obsession and honestly I think most people would agree with me. This foundation is a luminous, sheer to medium coverage foundation with a satin finish. This foundation is perfect to create a flawless base and even complexion, personally I love the fact that this foundation gives me a luminous hydrated finish. The foundation is also very long-wearing and last really well on a night out.

Next up we have the Light Reflecting Foundation, £37.50. This formula took me a minute to get used to because compared to Sheer Glow it's a much lighter formula and doesn't feel like you're wearing anything. This foundation is unique formula designed to be a makeup and skincare that instantly blurs imperfections, smooths the look of textured skin, and helps conceal blemishes, dark spots, and redness. This foundation leaves you with a very natural, medium coverage finish. I tend to use this product on days when I don't want to wear heavy makeup or want a more natural look.

Lastly we have their most recent release the Soft Matte Complete Foundation, £31.00. If you have oily/ combo skin or prefer a foundation that isn't glowy in finish, then this is the perfect product for sure! As you've probably guessed by the name of this foundation, this formula gives you a natural looking, medium coverage, matte finish. Personally I adore this foundation because it hydrates your skin and helps balance your face oils all at once so it would wear really well even if you have oily skin.

There we have it my Nars foundations collection! There is one foundation missing from my collection which is the Natural Radiant Longwear foundation and I'm trying to convince myself I don't need it but let's be honest it might be a future review. The last month or two I have become a bit obsessed with Nars, especially  since I tried out their foundation samples. I honestly used up every inch of the foundation samples I got from John Lewis and once the samples were done I was so sad I had to go back and buy the full sized products. Honestly though getting samples is such a great way to test products for a few weeks before you buy the full size so if you ever get a chance to try samples make sure you do! Now today we are chatting about my new go to foundation the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation, Oslo , £37.50.

I love using this foundation for light makeup days when I still need coverage but want to look a tad more natural. The Light Reflecting foundation is a blend of skincare and makeup, it  blurs imperfections, smooths the look of textured skin, and helps conceal blemishes, dark spots, and redness. The best thing about this foundation is that the more you wear it the more it treats your skin. Powered by advanced skincare ingredients that help defend against environmental aggressors and blue light, it immediately strengthens the skin’s barrier to help maintain its moisture.

I personally adore this new foundation because it is a medium buildable coverage but still gives you a natural finish. It's a odd foundation because it is so lightweight and yet effortlessly even out out your complexion. Thought you can apply this foundation with a traditional sponge or brush, the foundation actually instructs you to apply and blend with your finger tips. I love how it looks on my skin using either method and it still stays on the skin just as long.
