i have a sister who's always been somewhat tricky to handle because she's held somewhat of a uh strong victim narrative, shall we say. only a lot of the things she's been the victim of have turned out to be somewhat... facticious in nature? her thing as a teenager was claiming a difficult home life (everyone else involved in this home life were quite surprised by this) to the extent that she got the school and cps involved, and sought emancipation. again, no one in the family knows what this was about.

today i got sent some stuff from her tiktok. apparently she now spends her time online living out a chronically ill strong independent woman persona maudling over her physically abusive ex (consider these things about 30% real)

i ended up in the 'professional musician reacts to music' youtube spiral while i was dealing with the flex tank, and it ended with 'gen z music producer reacts to Queen's live aid set' and i tried SO HARD to keep the 'you're one of today's lucky 10000!!' vibe in my heart.
