“ARE YOU JUST ‘FOR THE CULTURE’ OR ARE YOU BUILDING A CULTURE?” Inspired by @davidbanner Most of the things we say are “for the culture” are mostly justifications for the myth of white, colonial or capitalist supremacy at the detriment of actual Black Culture or Black Life. So here’s what’s gonna bake your noodle... Popular “Black Culture” is an artistic reaction to oppression, so what would Black Culture be without this oppression? It may actually be a fear that we are nothing without the oppression of this system. So for most, we unconsciously & for the race baiters that know what’s going on, consciously keep the system centered & alive, so we won’t have to take on the responsibility or for the professional race baiters, the loss of prestige & income, that would come with us finally being free/liberated. Most of y’all can’t really envision & then strive for a Wakanda...y’all prefer a Detroit or a Baltimore or a 1990’s Johannesburg, so y’all can make dope raps, memes & PRETEND to be woke while actually just feeding into the system that you’re rapping, meming about. #wakethefuckup #mindevolution #thelosopher(TM) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-xJpKhjxFp/?igshid=mw52huw18whz
