MOJANG ACTUALLY COOKED??? I didn’t think this would ever happen.

Minecraft is updating their spawn egg textures !! So I decided to make my own here (first image is mine)-

I think the new textures look really fun and are more accessible, especially to new players who don't know the mobs yet, but I personally think they could've been done better. A lot of them still look way too similar to each other, and I think the lack of consistency with sizes and what parts of a mob are featured gets really crowded and muddled.

I think they could be done similar to this !! Instead of adding the mob's noses or horns or faces, they could use the main texture of the mob to make consistent but unique eggs that are easily identifiable at a glance. Can you identify the mobs these four are meant for ? If so, could you do the same with the official ones ? I'm curious to see what people think.

With the new job, I am very tired and very stressed, but I did have time to noodle around in the new minecraft update, and one thing?

Cactus flowers are very pretty:

And in general I just enjoy how lively the deserts look now:

Little bits of dried out grass and dead bushes, and then the pop of green and pink from the cactus. I like it.

Plus the new bushes, firefly bushes, leaf litter and wildflowers. All the little plants! Maybe it's silly, but I deeply enjoy them. More plants is always good!

update on Midwich Elementary School in Minecraft, from a different angle this time. honestly realizing just how simple and easy to understand this layout is, which is probably part of why I love this level in the game

latest updates to the Midwich build. I added door frames because I felt the walls were lacking in dimension and detail (+ it's accurate to the game if you look closely), started one of the staircases, further built out the reception area, and put a ceiling on that back exit

Hey chat this new minecraft update is the laggiest I've ever played in my life

With Vsync on I get 60 fps regularlly but in particle heavy areas I get 28 fps (Which is fine, I'm use to playing MC on 15-20 fps)

However, with Vsync off im rapidly swinging between 118 and 2 fps and I can't tell whats causing it. I cannot trust myself to play my hardcore worlds with this much lag. I still haven't tested this on servers yet this is just singleplayer, I hope its better on servers.

Anyone got any tips? All my settings are rock bottom as I can get them except for render distance but I'll welcome lists of what settings should be at!

This problem is without recourse packs enabled, recourse packs don't seem to affect it tho
