Lush caves 🍃🍃
Overworld Ores by Taste
COAL: tastes like burnt shit. tiny particles catch in your throat and make you choke while chewing, becomes a thick and abrasive paste once combined with saliva and gets stuck to the roof of your mouth and between all your teeth. 0/10
COPPER: tastes extremely metallic and cloying, oxidization tastes mossy and weirdly minty? takes some force to break into pieces in your mouth, but soft enough to dig your teeth into and get them stuck there until you can pry it off. sparks in your mouth sometimes (unpleasant) and also stains it green :/ 2/10
IRON: tastes the way plain bar soap smells, but rust tastes very salty with a sort of fishy undertone. very difficult to break apart in your mouth, bit of a chore to chew, can feel like eating gravel. overall boring, 3/10
LAPIS: sweet and cloying with a subtle berry-like taste. brittle and crumbly, easy to crack into pieces with your teeth and then chew into a paste, can be annoying to subsequently clean out of your teeth. 6/10
GOLD: buttery, creamy, faintly salty, and toasted taste. soft enough to bite into and tear pieces clean off like a kitten mauling a loaf of bread. arguably the garlic bread of ores, 9/10
REDSTONE: sweet, spicy, and sparkling, the flavor is indescribably fruity with a warm, spicy undertone like chili powder. pretty much pure powder, sizzles on your tongue like pop-rocks, can leave your mouth and throat tingling afterwards like you’ve licked a circuit. 10/10
EMERALD: pure mint with an earthy, plant-y taste, as if you’re literally shoveling fresh-picked and unwashed mint leaves into your mouth. hard and brittle, it’s difficult to crack until it completely shatters in your mouth and feels like eating tempered glass. 4/10
DIAMOND: tastes clean and minty like toothpaste, with a distinct note of blue raspberry, and an earthy, dusty aftertaste. even harder and more brittle than emeralds, yet chips off in small pieces that make surprisingly good cough drops in a pinch. sadly, despite the stereotype and meme potential, i don’t actually enjoy eating them and really only do so at someone else’s expense. with a heavy heart, 5/10
i love wardens! have a lazy sketch
wardensuma or sumalotl?
he found you!!!!!!!
Can I just say as someone who has been playing Minecraft almost longer than I have not been playing Minecraft, the cave update is absolutely petrifying. I haven't played with keep inventory on since 1.6 and here I am, screaming at every sound like I'm 12 again. I added dynamic sounds, animations, and shaders as well so it's even more freaky 😭
