My Minecraft headcanon part #1.
- Due to large amount of hybrids in the world, most of armor in the world is hand made by "The Players".
-Sometimes in big cities you can find Armoires that sell armor for specific type of hybrid (Like Avian or piglin ect.)
-2 most popular armor types are
- Full body plate armor (for visualization you can check photos of XV and XVI century knights
- "Scouting Armor" (For reference you can check Animation by Sad-ist like: Pig Hunt, The Fall or Dream Smp War animatic.
Combat System (Fighting Styles)
In more offical documents named "The Hypixelian way of Combat" Is and old and fast paced style of fighting believed to be invented and perfected by an very famous and influential "BadLion" family. It's mostly tought by masters of the swords in many arenas and tournaments in cities like Hypixel or MinePlex. This style albeit very popular in bigger and older cities, its not very popular outside of them because it is very hard to learn and master and usually requires years or even decades of practice to perfect. It's also more dangerous since the only thing protecting you from the attacks of other players is your rod ,the ability to block with your sword. For inexperienced and uneducated observers it may seem that the entire style is nothing more than bluntly attacking your enemy with a sword, and it maybe true if you observe the fight of the beginner's, but the fight of masters is more akin to a dance rather then a fight. It is believed that freedom and fast paced way of the "Hypexilian combat" allows its masters to fight even without swords, they can also use axes, pickaxes, shovels,battle scythes or even hoes
Unlike the previous entry the 1.9 combat isn't an official style created by clan or a group. It's more of an rough idea that, by some maybe called "Cowerdly". It's hypothesized to origin from small towns and villages that wanted to more efficiently protect themself from mobs and some nefarious players and didn't want to pay money for a Hypixelian knights to be send from a bigger city to protect them. It's also theorized that it was created as to stop the expansion of Hypixels influence. This theory is highly debated but have some seeds of truth as can be seen reading the history of "The Battle of skulls" when the army of Hypixelian knights were ambushed and crushed by so called by the Hypixelian masters of the swords,"Cowards with Shields".
The biggest differences between 1.8 and 1.9 are as follows
1.9 uses shields rather then swords to block attacks
The main weapon is usually an axe rather then a sword
The usage of crossbows and rarely bows as an substitute for rods
Users of 1.9 prefer quick, powerful and calculated attacks rather than a flurry of attacks that 1.8 users use
Is usually much safer, but also more punishing because missing an axe attack could mean your death
More widespread usage of potions and other substances
