Makin a post to have pinned, just for the sake of having one.
Here's a bit about me, if you are interested:
I'm 25 - born in 2000, so it's real easy to keep track.
I got a Master's degree in Library Science in May 2025.
But! the economy is not great right now, especially for goverment funded programs meant to help people (gee wonder why), so library jobs are scarce and competition is fierce at the moment.
Thus, my actual employment is as an assorted-subjects tutor.
At least those 3 years of pre-engineering school will be useful for something (math classes).
I'm Aro, Ace, and Agender. Call me a car insurance company the way I be Triple A.
Pronouns are They/Them, but He/Him is second choice, and frankly you can call me whatever if it makes the joke land. (Think "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, and if he can't, then god forbid women do anything.")
I am also (as all of the above would imply) pretty far left on the political scale.
USA, by the way. Midwest, kinda near St Louis. I'm pretty comfortable saying so cuz that puts me somewhere in a crowd of a few million people. Y'ain't getting anything more specific tho.
Was raised christian, but grew up agnostic/atheist. Still go to church like twice a year to support my mom who's in the church choir - gotta catch those big performances on christmas eve and easter vigil.
I can plunk a few notes on the piano (thank you childhood lessons), did trombone for a few years in elementary/middle school (which was quite something since the smallest size of trombone they make - or at least that we could get hold of - was just about bigger than me - i had to use my foot to get the slide to 6th position!), and was in my school choirs for like a decade running. We were pretty good - state competitions and disneyland performances, some years. Tragically, I dont get to sing much these days - mostly just in the shower.
I have a cat named Mint, shared custody over a dog with my friend who was my roommate when we got the dog, and had a couple other dogs growing up.
My favorite color is silver, and my favorite animal varies day by day but is usually split somewhere between tigers, foxes, wolves, and domestic dogs and cats. Though I do have a soft spot for horses too - I took some basic riding lessons as a kid.
Predictably for a tumblr user, yes I read a lot of fanfiction. I have a special fondness for time travel fix-its.
And if you made it this far, I'll tell you a secret - I run the blog @rec-a-fanfic. Swing by sometime, drop a rec, browse the growing library.
Also, I play pokemon dnd with some friends, and I run @griffins-logs about it. Feel free to check it out!
That's all folks!
