During Petra’s emotional moment in the admin house in Season 2, she reminisces about her time “at the treehouse” with all her friends.
This is something that has always confused me because in Season 1 it’s established that the treehouse is predominantly Jesse’s. Jesse mentions her poster collection and lack of armor owned within the first few minutes of the game. There are 3 chairs inside, but it’s not implied that any of the other characters live there. And our introduction to Petra at the building contest implies that while the gang know her, she’s not in their immediate friend group. This is something that is also elaborated on later when Petra invites Jesse to do that back alley deal with Ivor at Endercon. Jesse even makes a “we’re super close now!” remark at Endercon that embarrasses Petra.
I was under the impression that the treehouse got destroyed by the Wither Storm, and after that they establish Beacon Town. Meaning there was never any known time that Jesse or Petra could’ve been living at the treehouse. So if we take her season 2 dialogue to heart then she actually was part of the friend group and hung out at the treehouse with everyone.
All of this is to bring up one simple fact. The treehouse was apparently occupied by Jesse, Olivia, Axel, and Petra at the same time. But did you ever notice something unusual about the treehouse?
There was only one bed.
