Ghastling doodles are incoming… may we please speak of the implications of this?
Considering this update, ghasts are probably not an indigenous species to the nether. They are unhappy with the hot, dry climate and are less grumpy with exposure to moisture and snow.
Which begs the question, which biome(s) are they native to?
The ice biomes and glaciers seem like an obvious choice, but allow me to elaborate. Ghasts could resemble clouds and be a migrating species, floating through the sky toward moist climate destinations to bear young.
Ghasts shooting fireballs in the Nether could be an adaptive trait for survival in a landscape with other ranged mobs. Alternatively, what if they attack players alone because players are the reason why their species is trapped in the Nether? What if they were hunted down for tears in the Overworld, the few survivors and their descendants populating the fiery Nether?
Do happy ghasts shoot fireballs? Can they be used for Overworld combat? O.O
